So this isn't too much of a show and shine as the car hasn't been done yet. But I just had to share this very rare 1 of 800 1968 AMC Rebel SST convertible that stopped by and will be coming back in the coming months for a show car makeover.

This car has a very very well kept original interior. The top and paint are a bit older. The paint being single stage red is looking more like pink now but after a test spot it's going to come right back to life! The owner was immediately sold seeing that. So when possible do a test spot!

Can't wait to get this one in!

Very cool car that's going to look great when you finish it.

Cool car, needs your talent though to make it right.

Test Spot - Working smarter instead of harder.

A few years ago I had a Rambler convertible project car at Meguiar's, don't think it was an SST but it was severely oxidized, I'll see if I can find it.

Edit: It was a 1967 with the original single stage paint. Did an extreme makeover to the paint and the white convertible top.

Looking forward to your write-up for this car. My parents had a couple of Ramblers when I was a kid, I always thought they were a tick on the ugly side myself.

:)

Looking forward to this one! What a cool ride.

On a test spot that extreme, they're almost forced to finish the job. Who wants a big shiny square on their hood?

That's the other benefit of doing a test spot. :buffing:

Lol. I can picture him explaining that spot only so many times until he comes back begging for the full job......:laughing:

Mike- that's a cool AMC!!!

Yeah it definitely needs some work but the appointment scheduled is right before a big AMC show so it will be freshly done.
