Very true Gary! I called Expedia and they are willing to give full refunds on the resort and Sun Country would let us swap airline tickets at no charge anywhere in Mexico until the end of the month. At least they are working with me!

Ideas on other destinations in Mexico?

Be glad your not caught up in this P1et.

Dean heads for Cancun area - Weather - MSNBC.com

My be you should try somewhere on the West Coast of Mexico.

Not Mexico, but check out Nevis, not cheap but breathtakingly beautiful, friends of ours had their honeymoon there. I've been all over the Caribbean and world and don't care for traveling anymore but want to go to Nevis.

Hey looks like you guys might be in the clear. We are still think about you guys!

We are relieved but still keeping an eye on this unpredictable monster!

I still want to go to Cancun! I am hoping that Dean will go a little more South than anticipated and that maybe I can go next week!

hurricanes are just an excuse for gas prices to go up!!!!

. . . and elections are just an excuse to lower gas prices . . . TEMPORARILY :D

I just rebooked my holiday, going on Saturday! The resort wasn't hit too bad, just some minor flooding.

GOOD TO GO!

This is what I thought was kinda funny, Dean slammed, literally (20-30 mph) into the coast with 168 mph winds, yet apparently the damage was akin to a regular Cat 1or 2....kinda odd? Did it hit just a not dense area?
