I've been very busy at work and haven't had much time to spend on the forum or on my car. But last week, a lady at church insisted that I make her car shine like mine. So, relunctantly and timidly, I agreed. I was in a hurry, so I didn't take many pictures, plus they didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped. However, she was extremely pleased with the results. She kept looking at it from all angles and petting it.
Main main reason for posting this, though, is to thank AG and this forum for providing products and teaching me how to make a car shine and its owner beam with pride. I know it sounds weird, but for someone who loves cars like I do, you really "learn" one - almost bond with it - after spending a day like this with it. I have found such enjoyment and stress relief in my garage, all thanks to you.
I have the utmost respect for you guys who do this professionally! I was exhausted when I was finished. An though she paid me pretty well, considering the amount of time it took, I basically did it for minimum wage. However, the biggest reward was the smile I got!
Here's my process:
Wash-Foam gun w/DP Extreme Foam & 1 cap of ONR
Dry-Waffle Weave plus Metro Blo & Vac
Wheels-Speed Brush and Foam
Clay-Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay w/ONR lube (2oz:1gal)
Polish-Klasse AIO/White LC CCS w/PC
Sealant-Klasse
Interior-Optimum Leather Protectant
Windows-Invisible Glass
Tires-Wlofgang Black Diamond Tire Gel
Final Wipedown-Finish Kare 425
Here's the pics:
The paint had swirls and rids like this all over.
And it was evident she hadn't cleaned the cream colored interior in a long time.
I was impressed with how many stains the Optimum Leather Protectant got out.
Though not completely swirl free, it was still an improvement
The clouds in the hood shot
And the final package
Thanks for looking....and thanks again for showing me how to do this!!!
