Hi everyone, I'm Kilroy.

I've done a bit of lurking here, and would like to thank everyone here for showing me the proper way to clean a car.
I started paying attention to how I took care of my car about 5 years ago. Back then I would hit the drive-through car wash, dry the car with RainX wax-n-dry and a microfiber, and Armor-all everything inside the car.
After a while I wanted better results, so I started buying things from Auto Zone like Extreme Wet tire shine, Turtle Wax Ice, Megs clay bar kit, etc. At this point I was still using the swirl-installing brushes at the coin-op car wash, and I even bought one of those horrible power ball "polishers."
I felt like I was getting pretty good results at this point, but I wanted something more durable, so kept looking for something better. After reading up, I ordered some Optimum no-rinse, Klasse AIO, Collinite 845, foam pads, and some more microfibers. I used this stuff for the first time this weekend, and WOW!! Im the MAN
Optimum no-rinse is straight up magic. I don't have a garage or hose, which is why I was using coin-op places. This stuff gets my car significantly cleaner with much less effort and time.
Klasse AIO is another easy to use product that performs exactly as advertised. I was a little worried that buying more professional grade products would make things more tricky, but it seems to be the opposite.
The Collinite 845 was super easy to install. I warmed up the bottle, shook everything up, and used a foam pad to apply it super thin. My final verdict will depend on how durable it is. I'm hoping for 5 months, taking me through the winter months.

The next thing I need to figure out is tire and rim care. (and maybe engine cleaning) What products would you gentlemen recommend for long lasting results?

Well, it sounds like you're well on your way to being pickey about dirt on your car, so I would suggest to pay some attention to your wheels' barrels. Brake dust accumulates there pretty quick, and can be thougher to get off if you don't clean there often.
I don't know how long any product would last on a barrell to protect it, however it can't hurt to apply a paint sealant or wax down there to keep cleaning easier in the future.
I highly recommend buying the Speed Master wheel brush set to make cleaning faster and easier. The lug nut brushes sold here work too; I have them all.
It would be helpful to know what kind of rims/wheels you have for further recommendations or precautions.
