I just wanted to reach out and say Thank you to Greg of Signature Detailing in Hillsborough New Jersey. I personally enjoy detailing my vehicle myself and have been doing so for 20+ years now. For the past 5, give or take, I've been happy using OptiCoat 2.0 until they stopped making it. I tossed around the idea of giving their new gloss coat a go but decided in the end I really wanted something 'better' and after researching various detailers in the NYC and surrounding areas I went with Greg and Signature Detailing.
I picked the car up new last Wednesday and brought it to him yesterday, unfortunately on a dreary rainy day. Thankfully though the rain did hold off for the ride home. Greg is a great guy all around, he knows his products and has no problem taking the time to shoot the 'stuff' with you about tips and tricks as well as what he likes about certain products and doesn't like about others.
Anyways, here's some pics of my vehicle after the application. I drove an hour to get to Greg's shop and am glad I made the trip quite honestly. I've been buying from Auto Geek for year now and just finally signed up on the forums to share just how pleased I am with Greg's work. I hope to learn and share a lot more info on here, Thanks everyone.
So far I'm really enjoying it. Being an early adopter of course comes with some quirks that certainly will be addressed via either over the air updates or a quick update while at the dealership but overall it offers quite a lot for the price.
Greg was actually quite impressed with the leather, commenting how it is some of the best he has seen in vehicles costing even more. But to be fair, mine does have Volvo's 'upgraded' nappa leather found in the Inscritpion level.
If I had two small complaints thus far they would be the air suspension doesn't offer the softer, floaty feel I thought it would offer (but it still is not a bad ride, just a bit firmer than expected. Some may really like this though). And the other thing being road noise across certain road surfaces can be a bit loud. I think it is the tires and their width (it is riding on 21" rims with Pirelli Scorpion all seasons tires 275 45 21) contributing to the occasional road noise and not an issue of sound dampening, but hey, what do I know?
Should you end up with one let me/us know what you get and certainly do share pics! :xyxthumbs:

Back in the late 90's a few years after getting my license I wanted a Volvo 850R really bad but of course couldn't afford it. After that I never looked at Volvo again but the technology in the new loaded XC9 really piqued my interest. It's only been a week but after 600 miles I'm enjoying so many aspects about this car. I know Volvo 'looks' can be basic and not liked by all but I'm liking the look of this new generation.
