hands down this site has to have EVERYTHING on how to detail a car and i mean EVERYTHING.
you guys are truly the meaning of customer service.
tj
Hi tj,
On behalf of Max, everyone here at Autogeek and myself, thank you for your kind words. Max is a great guy and an even better "Boss" and there are a lot of cool perks that go with working for Autogeek in specific and in the "Car Industry" in general but the best perk of all is to know you've helped someone reach their goals.
Its pretty amazing that he puts all of his knowledge out there for everyone at no cost, and he's always on the forums answering peoples questions (including me)
There is a cost, that is Max hired me away from Meguiar's to provide the education portion of everything Autogeek does in this industry and the good news is it's all
win/win and that's the only way to do business.
Then you have all the really cool forum members who spend a lot of time and effort to do product reviews, and help people they do not even know through their problems. Thanks to all of them too! :applause:
I'll second you on the above. This forum has great forum members always willing to help others and this is a positive reflection on them and their character. It's really hard to find a forum of any topic where there's so much depth of knowledge and teamwork plus a family friendly environment which is not the norm for so many other forums.
Great thread. Thanks a lot to mike and the whole crew. I have learned so much and went from washing with dawn four years ago, to last summer making an extra 2000 dollars detailing. I very much appreciate it.
Cha Ching! $$$
I love this site and AG. Thanks to everyone here.
I learn a lot here
and what I can't learn searching has been answer through chats or calls. Many thanks from Utah
And the portion I made
bold above means we're hitting the mark.
Yes - Thank you ALL! Without the knowledge passed around here, I wouldn't have had the knowledge or confidence to talk to my clients about their issues with their rides - AG has been a library for me and I appreciate every individual that has helped build this community. Thank you ALL!
And thank you! You're one of the stellar forum members that makes this forum the success it is...
I am, and always have been, in absolute amazement at both his knowledge and more so his
PASSION - they are
two different things.
Also, his ability to explain and describe is second to none in this industry, and THAT'S what it's all about.
I truly hope he's having a blast living the dream making a great career out of something he loves - as always since your days at Meg's, to now, and WELL into the future Mike,
I appreciate all you do!
Gee thank you very much... and for the record, it is about the passion for me... I live, eat and breathe cars and car detailing and I NEVER forget my roots. I also recognize that there's always going to be
bumps in the road but I'm in this for the long run so I practice
taking the high road and
leave the mud wrestling for others...
Yes thank you. I have learned a lot over the last several months. And thanks to AG an this forum I now have about $1500 in detailing supplies in my cabinet
I think it is some kinda scam/cult
It's all good man... no bad...
Life changing I look at my vehicles in a whole new light.
Thank you all
Thank you for being a part of the whole...
I agree with everything said. I always thought I had a good idea of what I was doing cleaning my cars however the amount of knowledge I've gained from this forum is unbelievable. The friendliness of the AGO team as well as the forum members is top notch and sets the standard for how a business and a forum should operate.
Never are you turned away or ridiculed and you can ask a question and get a solid answer that not only offers a product suggestion, but the best way to get the results you're looking to achieve. This is a great place to be and with that, thanks to the whole AGO family!
Well said and accurate. Thank you.
Mike's just one of us, someone passionate about detailing because it's preserving a costly and prized possession, your vehicle.
I'm pretty transparent on the forum because I don't have anything to hide. I like all cars, heck I even like old Nash Metropolitans and they are the definition of ugly.
But if the people that are into them like them then I like them to and my goal is the same no matter what the car... help others get what they want... and have some fun along the way...
If you think reading the threads and watching the videos is a great resource, sign up for Boot Camp and see that Mike is also a great hands on teacher. You can learn a lot from reading and watching but there is no substitute for having Mike watch over your shoulder and tell you what you are doing right or wrong. Great experience and I highly recommend it.
Thanks Robert, it's been a genuine pleasure having you attend our classes here plus getting to know you in person via the forum and the classes.
Who is Mike Phillips?? JK
I have been reading Mikes stuff for a long time on MOL... Mike = :urtheman::urtheman:
Thank you.
And to your point, I've seen people come and go in the forum world but one thing for sure... a person's
posting history stays behind forever to either help others or reveal their true character no matter what forum they post to..
My goal is to leave behind a posting history that always helps people...
The below is something I read from Zig Ziglar when I first went to work for Meguiar's and my first boss Jack Birkby gave me a set of tape from Zig Ziglar. I would listen to them as I drove to body shops, dealerships, detail shops and PBE stores and this one particular quote always stuck with me...
"You can have everything in life that you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want"
-Zig Ziglar
It takes all the work out of work...
Thanks everyone, it's always very humbling to read and then reply to threads like these...
