I think that Gator came out of one of those studios in SoCal, LOL.

I was on a job one time in Georgia, and listened to a guy from Georgia tell his coworker, and me to some extent, about how he's "driven through Florida many times and never seen a gator. It's all a bunch of baloney and something people say to attract tourists. There aren't gators in Florida, at least not that anyone would see." I proceeded to tell him about taking walks on the Greenway and seeing alligators oh, 8' to 12' away, about the baby alligator a friend rescued and kept for a couple weeks, about the baby alligator a group of us saw near a marsh that hissed at us (and about avoiding that marsh in future years, joking about the alligator all grown up now coming to get revenge on us for harassing him a little bit), and about the alligators we see in retention ponds often. I'm not sure if he believed me or if he thought I was just making it up as well. Not hardly! But I've never seen one that big! That's massive. And scary a little bit.

No gators but I have seen rattlesnakes while golfing (off the fairway LOL) in Southern California.

You may not see any gators if you stick to Disney World, but there are certainly other tourist attractions where they are pretty hard to miss, unless things have changed.

In SoFlo,if you spend any time near a freshwater lake or canal and are paying attention, you will see them. And with a good cast with a top water lure, you can get them to bite as well. I prefer to play keep away with the lure, move it just as it is going to grab it.Most are not as big as the ones in OP pics, those we run from or prepare to shoot them.
