I already had Armor All Extreme tire gel and love it, goes on so easily and drys to the touch leaving a deep, wet black look that last even through rain. So upon seeing his post I picked up some of their Tire Foam, I got the base one, think theres one a step above in shine. This stuff rocks, leaves a very black, matte like finish. But more importantly, it has some top notch cleaning ability, I think this stuff cleans better then the Belches stuff I have. I just sprayed on the foam, let sit for 5 minutes or so, then wiped off. Couldn't believe the dirt and crap that came off on the towel.

Second reason I really liked it, on my Mountaineer I have some grey trim (rear bumper) and regular black trim. I tried so many products and just couldn't find any that worked or lasted including Poorboys Trim Restorer. Used some of the Tire Foam and it cleaned again very well, and for once, my rear grey bumper actually looked nicely dressed, along with the side view mirrors, and vent/wiper trim at the base of the windshield that Explorers/Mountaineers have trouble with fading.

I know this is more for AG products, but I highly recommend picking the Tire Foam up. It not only leaves a perfect base for using any of the tire gels, but works great on the trim. Going a couple days now and it still looks great, I couldn't get PB TR to last more then a couple days. I'm gonna try PB TR over it and see what happens. Maybe teh extra cleaning action of the tire foam got rid of whatever it was that wasn't allowing TR to bond well, even though I tried multiple cleaning stuff from Citrus Degreasers to APC etc.

No problem bro. Thank you! Try some of the gel on your trim. I did on on my brother's Cherokee (tons of black trim) and it lasted for a month!

The base tire foam is what I am using now. I'm really only using it when I do a detail for the first time or if I feel it needs before gelling. It does such a great job on the wheel wells too. I'm just blown away by it's cleaning abilities. For customers that want a matte look, I just wipe off and leave it be.

Thanks Justin, and thanks Surfer!!! I know what you mean about the problems with the trim on the Explorer/Mountaineer. I've tried PB BnB, PB NL. The BnB lasted a few days longer than the NL (about 5 days). Both streaked when it rained, especially on the sideview mirrors. I tried CK QS and it lasted 1 week on the bumper trim. Only streaked a little on the front bumper when it rained.

I would spray the trim and moldings with foam BEFORE you washed. I'm even talking about the trim on around the windows. This way if it gets on the paint there's no problem. Let is sit and then rinse and wash and rinse/dry as normal. I bet you'll see a HUGE difference in your molding and trim. Then take the gel and put it on once dried well. I love the applicator that comes with the gell. Perfect for trim!

Ahhh, I am too another satisfied forum member with Justin's AA Foam tips. I love using it as a base on tires and then follow with AA Gel, goes on buttery smooth!

One product that I'm stoked on using more of is Zep All Around. I've posted about this before, but we use it on golf carts at work. Obviously, we have to wash and clean the golf carts every day. This Zep stuff lasts for at least 40 washings, it's awesome. I've used it on my engine bay and it still has a great shine to it.

I plan on using it for wheel wells, engine bays, and anything else that maybe under the car. I plan on using 303 protectant for all the exterior black trim.

dont mean to go OT but last night i tried the wolfgang black diamond gel on my tires for the first time... i couldnt see them last night but today they looked AMAZING! i love it, im definately going to need to buy a big refill when i run out
 
When you look at a vehicle, always ask your self this.
What would Justin do?
Then you will have the correct way of doing it!:D

I'm sure this process will work with any tire gel. I just use AA because it's local and cheap.....and it works.
 
im not knocking it at all, in fact ill probably pick some up for wheel wells, i was just amazed at the WG gel....looks so damn good

I've heard that the WG and DP Gels look really well. I'm ordering some soon to see the difference between them and the AA gel.
 
This has always been one of my "go to" products for wheel wells. For $2.24 at Walmart the price can't be beat. Based on this post I just went out and tried some on my 4Runner today after detailing it :)

YES!!!

This is my favorite thing to use on tires, havent tried it on my black trim. However I used it on my moms with a sponge brush from Joannes Fabrics. And wow.

I recommend this stuff. Grab a sponge brush from your local crafts store and I promise you wont be dissapointed with it!

The look is pretty good. Will see how it looks this week. While going through my detailing arsenal I also found a can of AA Detailers Advantage. I forgot I even had it lol...Im the MAN

ryan - you mean the aa gel? did you put the foam underneath too?
do you thnk this would e good for the black bumper on our 06 burgundy saturn relay? (back bumper, mainly...) ?
