I wanted to take a moment to thank all who have contributed to the forum and in particular those who have responded to my postings. I have learned so much from my time on the forum.

As an example of my progression as a new learner in detailing, I have been using my old 12 year old Volvo as a canvas and my 2.5 hour practice session on the trunk hood has my daughter commenting on how shiny it is and my wife saying 'it looks new!' I have definitely found a new passion - now onto the side panels :-).

I am glad we could help you. I came here with limited knowledge and am sure I have improved alot over time,
 
Ditto on that! This is one of the friendliest, most informational forums I've ever been a part of. I hope we get pics of the Volvo!
 
I will take some photos soon. I am still learning how to get accurate images.

Well the lighting isn't the best when I leave or come home but here is one reflection shot and a shot attempting to use the finger pointing method but has dew on it. There some scratches you can feel with your fingernail so didn't go after those and there is clear coat failure in a couple places.
