The First Frog

The 15th time a veteran posts the long explanation of "how to set up a detailing shop", "how much to charge", etc., for someone who doesn't even attempt a search I understand the cranky.

I try to remember that it's somebody's "first frog", and while I've maybe seen a dozen it's their first, they're excited, and if I resist the smackdown, they'll probably grow into a great asset.

There is only one board I visit that is more helpful, friendly and courteous than this one. Hope everybody keeps up the good work. (now about pricing at my new shop.....)

That's the nice part about this forum, though. If I get tired of posting the same thing over and over, I just go into Mike Phillips' list of articles and post the link to whatever one most applies to what is being asked. Lazy FTW!

Just think how boring life would be if we all agreed on everything. Forums kinda remind me of family, theres always someone your not going to agree with there choices, but you still care for them regardless

Sir, that is a very classy post on your part and I wish to let you know that I personally harbor no ill will towards you regardless of any past disagreements. Since the AGO staff have made it clear that my posting here is seen as violating the forum rules, I will no longer be an active participate of these boards. Still, I wanted to let you know of all the members with whom I may have disagreed, you certain seem to be the most level headed.

I don't think the OP is expecting everyone to agree. Just show a little respect when disagreeing.

I am an administrator on a large forum and find that these kind of issues come in waves. You'll go for months with no issues then all of a sudden some go berserk.

I'm not asking everybody to kiss everybody else's butt, but it seems to me that if you're calling for a duel every time somebody disagrees with you or says something that rubs you the wrong way, there's a problem. No need to be rude - common courtesy never hurt anyone.

Thats because L2D is a much more relax forum. Nobody gets overly butt hurt over there. I have to say, AG's been changing a lot now. Stay around long enough and you'll begin to notice it.

Members on all detailing forums im on bash AG all the time not just L2D. I dont know if you've noticed but a lot of the older and knowledgeable members have moved on to other forums.
