Gee... thanks for all the kind words everyone... :xyxthumbs:

Writing a detailing book can sound kind of simple especially when I have so much information already typed up and posted to scads of forums... but it was a lot more complicated than just taking what I've already written and copying and pasting it in order to create a book, instead I pretty much had to borrow some of what I've written and then tweak and re-write it to give it a consistent flow.

The book starts with a little bit about paint because that's what you're working on, then goes into the basics, like washing and drying, evaluating the condition of the finish, choosing your goal because the condition of your car's finish and your goal determines which products you'll use and your process and then goes into everything we talk about here everyday only in one, single concise package.

I would like to thank Max for giving me the time away from my normal duties to write the book, if not for Max it would have taken a lot longer.

I'd also like to thank Yancy for working his magic in assembling and created the finished product.

I need to thank both Matt and Nick for proofreading and editing the book, that can only be described as slow torture, which they gallantly endured to the end.

And of course all my other co-workers for their support and all of the members of all the detailing discussion forums that I've ever posted to because I'm always learning from everyone else.

I have always been cheerleader for learning. I recommend to everyone to try to learn from everyone around them both in the real world and the cyber-world and I practice what I preach. There are so many experienced and knowledgeable detailers hanging out on detailing discussion forums like this one that all a person has to do is read as much as they can and ask a few questions a long the way and you can't help but increase your own knowledge and skill sets.

So thank you to the thousands of friends and colleagues I've made over the years in this industry.

I'm looking forward to everyone's feedback, both positive and negative as this will help me to improve my writing for the e-book I'm currently working on right now.

Thank you everyone...

:)

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it said, "The Art of Dealing with Mike Phillips". Now, I don't know Mike but have really appreciated his expertise and thought to myself, "hmmm, this ought to be interesting".

Seriously though, I bought the book but have only had time to glance through it so far. It looks like it will be a great detailer's companion.

Nice job Mike and team.
