The car was just dropped off and I'll have it for as long as I want to. Due to a fixed budget, we are going for 90% not 100%

Nice job.

Thanks! I assume you like my photography skills? :dblthumb2:

Looks like you have your work cut out. I noticed a good amount of orange peel in one of the pictures, so at least you have plenty of paint to work with (assuming the paint is original).

I am going to start working on it in a little bit, naturally I will measure. The owner worked on the hood/right side of the car with 105/205 with just a white pad and gave up.

What gauge do you have? I recently bought a Defelsko 200 Advanced with the 6000 probe also, and it is one heck of a nice paint thickness gauge.

Definitely looking forward to your results - you've got some work ahead of you! :dblthumb2:

I can't wait to see the afters of swirls city! This has the setting for a killer turn around!

:dblthumb2:Ah, the top bolt on that hinge looks like it could be tightened 1/4 turn....:dblthumb2:

Thanks everyone.

I use an Olympus OM-D and the full shots with the Pany 7-14 mm - the swirl pictures are with the Olympus 60 mm lens. I normally shoot manual, but using Auto for before pictures works really well. After pictures are always in manual mode and i only shoot raw.

Process so far:

101 wool
101 cutting pad
hd cut polishing pad
hd polish finishing pad
