Okay, just got back from a 5000 mile trip from SoCal to Kansas, South Texas, South Dakota, then home. My F250 Dark Blue Crew Cab Long Bed was four wheeling, stuck in the blizzard in the midwest(how do you folks live with all that snow?) and got pretty trashed. Because of you fine folks prior to the trip I have purchased a Cyclo, edge pads, XMT, Souveran, foam gun, Cobra Microfiber towels, or about $900 worth of stuff from Autogeek. Thursday is the day to give the truck a detail based on all that I have read. If it turns out bad, I really cannot be blamed right? :o Hehe. Thanks to everyone on this site for all of the great suggestions and how to's. Wish me Luck!

Sounds like an awesome truck. Be sure to take before and after pics. Can't wait to see your finished product.

Snow and stuff are what makes us Midwesterners who we are! It hailed here this afternoon.:(

Good luck. If it's youre first time machine polishing, my best advice is take your time and enjoy it. Don't get frustrated, that will take all the fun out of it.

Take a digital kitchen timer out with you when you start to polish. It really helps to keep track of the time. I put 5 minutes up on the clock and start it when I kick the PC up to high.

Have fun and please post pics so we can enjoy your work with you. Good luck!

Better late then never pictures

There is a lot of paint on this truck... 9 hours and didn't even do the interior or a good job on the wheels... I think it came out pretty good for my first real detail. I used a Cyclo with the edge system green and white pads(very nice system) XMT 1, XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze, and Pinnacle Souveran with a whole bunch of Cobra Microfiber towels. Next time I am going to use XMT 2 and maybe an orange pad on the hood because there is still some swirls, well see. I did take pictures that day, but the file was too large for Autogeek so I posted them to webshots this morning. here is the link.

Great job!! Your truck looks awesome. Love the reflections, especially the shot of the hard tonneau.:applause: Nice interior too with all them monitors!! :D

I have a Webshots album too. But I upload the pics for this forum on Photobucket. It's free also. Photobucket automatically resizes them for you to post them directly on AG.

Lets see if this works. Thank you for the tip!

Wow, Awesome! Thanks for posting the pics, I did enjoy looking.
I see a new background for my computer at work.
