I have had this adapter fo my Flex since they were first designed.I love it .Really easy to swap my pads between all of my my machines .Metabo,Makita,Flex 306VV,Flex 3401,UDM(orig),PC 7336,PC7424XP

when 3M purchased Edge the adapter was discontinued. Autogeek bought all remaining adapters but soon sold out.

Well that sucks, the "hook and loop" doesn't stick on near all my pads.. I've only used each about 4 times.

I had the same problem and that's why I did this http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/flex-polishers/29075-flex-3401-backing-plate-surgery.html
The Lake Country hook and loop holds the pads very securely and the gorilla glue has held exceedingly well too. I have not had any issues since I did this.

Flex will be releasing a smaller backing plate shorty ... coming in March. Might also help with smaller pad use.
