I got my Edge pads the other day. Ive seen some threads about clearance issues. Well I put the Edge pad on, and it does seem that they are pretty close to touching the PC. Luckily, the threaded part on the fitting is pretty long. So the logical fix is put on a spacer or washer. The problem is finding the perfect sized one. So today Im looking through my PC box, and I find a paper spacer. Perfect size and everything. This will give you a another 1/4" clearance for the pads.

Thanks. I just looked in my old PC box and there was a spacer in there.

:D I opened this thread thinking there was a sale too! :D

Seriously though, I've never had a problem with my Edge pads touching my PC and I don't use any spacer at all. The pads are closer to the PC compared to single sided pads, but there's still plenty of room there.

There was an old version of the PC adapter which was longer and they purposely made it shorter. I never had the longer adapter, but IIRC what people were saying was that the shorter adapter reduced machine vibration and increased pad control.

Man, I thought this was a huge sale. O well....Good to know though

Weird...never had my Edge pads ever touch the PC while in use, had them for a little over a year now.

Geez, and here I thought I had a good find. I screwed up on the title, people arent having this problem anymore..... :o

Im going to have to get Meghan to change the title up.

I don't use the edge pads but I have seen people complain about the clearance issues with the pads. I don't remember the PC coming with a washer but then again I bought it 3 years ago... Your fix makes perfect sense though.
