"The Good Stuff" Detail - Featuring the World's Finest

great write up/ the foamer is one of my fav. tools.
i also love the bf polish & seal. and for maint. i use the wet diamond polymer spray every other wash.

Ok, question. When using a foam gun, do you still rinse your mitt off after each panel in a rinse bucket with a grit guard? Do you still need a wash bucket?

You still want to rinse the mitt as you normally would with a bucket and a Grit Guard insert.

Seeing this brings up a question I've had for some time about foaming. I see alot of pics of people doing this in direct sunlight. Doesn't this evaporate or streak from drying before you can get your wash mit over the whole car and rinsed ? Just something I've been curious about for a bit. Thanks

Spraying the entire vehicle down with foam, or larger portions of it, saves time because the foam actually loosens dirt and grime making it easier and less time consuming when you actually wash it with a mitt or sponge. You still want to rinse frequently to avoid water spotting when washing in the sun.

I use 1z Vinyl Rubber Care and Protectant on my car as well. Like you said, it smells great and it is a great water based alternative to trim sealants.
