Whenever I detail a car, whether it consists of a full correction or a simple wash and wax, I only like to use the good stuff. The good stuff consists of products that perform well outside of their expectations and never fail to keep me coming back for more. We test every product on our shelves before it meets you, the discriminating car care enthusiasts, but a few products in particular go above and beyond and rightfully earn the distinction of being known as the good stuff.
Last Saturday when I arrived to work an Audi TT was parked in front of the warehouse that needed a good bath. This wasn't my first encounter with this particular Audi as I've worked on it in the past. It belongs to Max, the owner of PBMG, and whenever I do maintenance on his vehicles I only reach for the best. So when it came time to give Max's Audi a bath early Saturday morning, the obvious choice for a shampoo was Pinnacle. Pinnacle waxes, cleaners and polishes are a quintessential example of the good stuff.
Here is what the Audi looked like before it was washed. I applied a thin coat of DP Poli-Coat Paint Sealant about five months so I knew all the dirt and road grime would wash off without a struggle.
I started off by giving the Audi a good rinse with the Industrial High Flow Fireman's Nozzle. This wash tool enables you to get the most out of your water pressure and features an adjustable spray pattern and metal shut-off valve. The Gripguard insulated handle ensures grip won't be compromised by slippery hands. Best of all, the Industrial High Flow Fireman's Nozzle is cool.
1.5 oz of Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo was added to about four gallons of water.
I don't carelessly pour this particular shampoo right into the bucket without measuring because I savor every last drop.
I always use the Grit Guard Insert to ensure proper mixture of the shampoo and then give it a strong blast of water to amp up the suds.

The one I use the most is the White/Yellow ShMITT because it features super soft foam on one side and a coarse yellow scrubbing foam on the other. There is also an all white ShMITT along with a ShMITT that's designed specifically for wheels as it utilizes a coarse foam throughout the entire mitt that works great at removing brake dust. All the ShMITTS are designed to fit your hand like a glove and hold generous amounts of soapy water to ensure safe, swirl free washing.
The ShMITT is an awesome wash mitt and because of its slim design, it easily fits into grille slots and other hard-to-reach areas.

Because it loosens up all the dirt and grime that's on your wash mitt so you don't rub it against the paint.
What I really like about the ShMITT, besides the other features that I constantly rave about, is the wrist loop. The wrist loop allows you to pull your hand out of the mitt without setting it down anywhere.
The wheels and tires were cleaned using Detailer's Pro Series Wheel Cleaner along with an assortment of brushes including the Montana Boar's Hair 20" Wheel Brush and the Clean Wheel Lug Nut Brush. I use this wheel cleaner often because it's safe for all wheel finishes and is free of any acids or caustic chemicals that may be harmful to you or the environment.
The Montana Boar's Hair 20" Wheel Brush is the definitive, end-all wheel brush for cleaning the face of the wheels because it's super soft yet provides excellent agitation thanks to the feathered tips. The long handle makes it convenient to clean wheel wells too. This brush is conservatively priced at $29.99 but I wouldn't hesitate paying double that amount for it. This brush isn't good, or great, it's the best.
To clean all the nooks and crannies of the wheel I took advantage of the Clean Wheel Lug Nut Brush's long, thin handle and super soft natural boar's hair feathered bristles. This particular brush has a million-and-one uses and thanks to its durable wooden construction, rest assured it will last for years.
Another reason I really like the Industrial High Flow Fireman's Nozzle is because it features a widely adjustable spray pattern. This enables you to fine-tune the spray pattern to your liking depending on what you're trying to accomplish (ie: fine mist, strong jet, etc.).
To dry the car I used a Cobra Supreme Guzzler Waffle Weave Drying Towel. Pair your Cobra Guzzlers with a high quality microfiber detergent and you will enjoy years of safe drying.
After I finished drying the car I stood back and admired the glossy paint.
Giving the Audi the tender loving care it deserves with Pinnacle's Bodywork Shampoo was a real treat and I look forward to doing it again.
