the most important, or the most iconic Mercedes model?

I gotta say the c class. Not exotic it brought many not so affluent people to the brand?
 
1955 300SL gullwing, but I also love the roadsters. I've done well over 30 300sl gullwings so far and they never get old, also quite a few 540k's.

I would have to say the S500's because apparently no one has ever died in one.
