The most over-rated products?

chipotle, extremely over rated , I'll take qdoba over it every single time..

Chipotle doesn't even sell queso dip.

How can you call yourself a mexican eatery and not sell queso dip.

Went once, got a barbecoa burrito, asked for cheese dip, they said they don't serve it, I was || that close to leaving the burrito on the counter and walking out.

That's crazy talk!
the truth!
I do like Qdoba but Chipotle uses local meat to ensure freshness, even the way its raised, you can taste the freshness! Oh yeah, brown rice for the burrito's too and now for the knock out punch....their hot salsa, hmmm......salsa!

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but how can you call a place a Mexican eatery if it sells queso dip? I have never seen anything remotely resembling queso dip anywhere in Mexico.

Having said that, I understand the appeal of queso dip, I just don't think it has anything to do with good Mexican food. For me queso dip is reserved for watching sports.

As for over-rated products, it pains me to say, but Meguairs MF cutting discs. Even with best practices, they've blown apart on me. Optimum's and Buff and Shine's MF pads have yet to do that in my experience. If not for that significant problem, the Meg's MF discs would be great.

I know one place that's not going to come up in this thread.....SMASHBURGER!

Queso, while tasty on it's own, is not a Mexican dish. It's origins are here in the US as a part of the whole Tex-Mex scene. It's hard to judge a chain on "not being Mexican" just because it doesn't serve something we essentially created.

I do like the chips from Qdoba, usually pretty salty but the hot salso from Chipotle rules! I've wanted to get Q chips and C's hot salsa to see how that goes!

Noone challentges the mighty SMASHBURGER yet.....good!

I dislike Chipotle Grill and Taco Bell.

I always love to help out local mom and pop shops even restaurants and their food is always way way way better and less or just as expensive!

Chain or no chain it doesnt matter to me if the food is good then it's good and that's all that matters. In N Out is always delicious wherever you go!!!

I refer to a restaurant as a Mexican eatery if they serve mexican food, and every other 'Mexican' restaurant I've dined at has served it, thus the initial surprise and the (inaccurate) statement. I think that's pretty fair, and I do realize the distinction of Mexican food and Tex-Mex exists but I just wouldn't say "Hey, let's get Tex-Mex tonight" because the restaurants typically offer both variants. Though now that you mention it, I remember that when I was in Mexico they didn't serve cheese dip. Good call, I stand corrected.

I am not against cheese dip or calling cheese dip authentic cos it did start somewhere. I just hate paying top dollar for a quick job.

Kinda like those quick car washes... Just cos you pay them a $10 extra they spray some quick shine on your car. No thank you.
