The Mr. Sparkle Garage - How it Started - Extreme Shop Makeover

I had the pleasure of visiting Mr. Sparkle. The place looks better in person, really!

The lighting is amazing!!!!

Anyway, Brian is this the LED light bulbs you used?

Amazon.com: Ledwholesalers Wide Angle PAR38 42 SMD LED Flood Light Bulb, Bright White, 1313WH: Patio, Lawn & Garden

Thanks!

no those bulbs are not the same at all. The LED bulbs are all single diode. that means one fat LED packed in there, not a cluster of small ones (like most bulbs). Home depot or lowes carries them for close to $40 each. par38 LED single diode daylight spectrum (18w or 20w - can't remember)

here is where I took some of my lighting ideas from. give credit where credit is due

Finally a comprehensive review of the best bulbs out there... - Autopia Forums - Auto Detailing & Car Care Discussion Forum

Looks great and quite functional.

But what did you do to get the cat to find a new home?

The cat? I ATE HIM

lol

I don't like cats. The guy next door does so he feeds and houses like ten of them. So Mr. Jinx or whatever his name is didn't have to go very far.

Just a couple updates here as I'm still improving things little by little

the inside of the garage door had stains all over it from prior tenants. I was constantly trying to compose photos as best I could without that in the shot. So I got fed up and painted it finally

2 coats of kilz primer

The back wall of the garage had a problem with paint peeling. This just got worse and worse as time went on. Fortunately it was only on the back wall and not the sides which are much larger.

Started scraping old paint and it just got crazy. the top photo is after scraping. thats all paint chips on the floor. could've filled a 1 gal pail

Picked up some clever signage for those new to the garage (bass music and the drone of polishers can be frightening for some)

I'm also up to a total of 12 LED lights mounted all over the place. I have to take some updated photos of that as well

great looking shop! Wish I could find something like this in my area
