Product attributes:

  • Utilize this conventional, non-threatening tool to power a proprietary, patented, dual-action attachment
  • More than a wax applicator - Provides a platform for multi-function applications
  • More than a polisher - A platform that allows tremendous versatility serving multiple applications
  • Using any corded drill, the forced rotation movement allows for safe and effective defect correction
Part Number: G3500
MSRP: TBD

While obviously not a replacement for a DA buffer, this tool is a great introduction to power tool buffing for those who've been leery of buffers or simply don't have the budget for one. If you have a corded power drill (and who doesn't?) you can now machine polish your car, boat, RV, etc. Great for spot repairs or tight spots like A-pillars and bumpers, the tool utilizes our Wx204 Soft Buff 4" pads for a variety of correction, polishing and waxing needs.

Not sure exactly what to think of that -- I'll be interested to see how well it works with a cordless drill, if it's passable it might work for mobile guys in a pinch.

I'm seeing shades of "mini Dynabrade" here

I was going to say the exact same thing. Nothing revolutionary ,but sounds like a good product as I havent heard of any DA adapter for drills yet.

Looks limited to headlights and the side of the car. Ergonomically dreadful for hoods and other horizontal panels.

So evidently this is a forced rotation DA adapter, not a traditional-style DA....

this is obviously a consumer product

I can't see it doing any one thing better than the existing buffers we all use currently...

that's one of the dumbest things I've seen in a while. No offense to the design team...

I dont think it will work,
because everyone has a different drill ?
Please,
Prove me wrong Meguiars.
Buy the real thing and buy a Flex3401

I guess it will be hard to use on a roof of an SUV without a tall flatform.

If it gets wally world to carry 4" spot buff pads it won't be so dumb in the end though. It does seem like a dumb idea though.

Here's what Michael Stoops from Meguiars has to say about it:

This little tool is very cool. Keep in mind that it's a forced rotation tool and not a true dual action (it moves the pad more like a Flex 3401 than a G110v2) and while it may seem a bit odd to do this with a drill, I can tell you from personal experience it works beautifully. One of the most surprising things is just how ergonomic it is. You'd think holding a drill and the stick handle would be a bit odd, but it really feels very natural and the stick handle can freely rotate to any position "around the clock" that works for you, whether you're right handed or left handed. And since it uses the same Wx204 pads that you can use on a traditional DA it can do much the same sort of correction. Obviously it would be more time consuming to do an entire car with this compared to using full sized pads on a DA, but for tighter areas or spot repair it's great. And you can do some pretty serious correction with it, too.

yeah, it'd be nice if Wally would sell the 4" pads. Maybe this is a great idea.

Interesting...

All I have to say. I'm sure this will make more sense once someone tries it out so we can see it in action.

Havent seen a price on it yet..but i would think it has to be under $50.
