The One That Got Away

1970 442 ran 10.80 at 124 featured in Hot Rod magazine

1987 442 70 olds 350, lightning rods, leather interior (donor Cutlass), t tops, ram air hood, custom paint job etc

The Truck in my Avatar. 1993 F150 Lightning with 82K miles. It was an original truck and I sold it to a 19 year old kid that hacked up the interior with a stereo and trashed the truck up. Last time I saw it was advertised on the Internet for more than I sold it for.

I also regret selling:

1966 Oldsmobile 442
1966 Oldsmobile Toronado

2004 BMW 330i ZHP package. I regret selling this car more than anything in the world!

1996 Jeep Cherokee. I bought it stock in January of 2004 with 70k on the clock. A few months later I installed a lift kit and bigger tires. Unfortunately, it was totaled in January 2005. I have not seen a cleaner XJ since.

I had a 1969 Cadillac convertible. I put a ton of work into it restoring it. I just ran out of room and someone made me a great offer on it so it went to a new home.

Most recently my 2008 R6. Wife was pregnant and I was getting a little too 'stupid', so it was best that I got rid of it. Still miss it to this very day.

And my 1991 Sentra SE-R. Very first car, my dad helped me build my first turbo motor, so many memories in this car. Entirely went through it myself a few years ago, motor, turbo setup, interior, big brakes, everything was a new bolt or hardware. Motor was trashed due to a poor tune and I parted it out. Still dream about it every few weeks.

I miss my 99 Accord EX V6 every now and then. It was the perfect size, that I felt connected with it, like I was part of it. My Aura doesn't exactly feel that way. Everytime we get an Accord like that at work, I always savor it and do a little extra for it.

Silver '99 BMW 323i Sport Package with manual transmission.

I bought it brand new a couple of years out of college and put 130K miles on it over 7 years. I even had the privilege of shipping it to the UK when I lived there and driving it all over Europe. Sadly, I had to sell it when work sent me to live in Hawaii.

To this day it was the only car I've ever owned that never failed to put a smile on my face every time I turned the key in the ignition. I've never driven anything since that gave me the same driving satisfaction.

1969 Camaro. Hugger orange with white houndstooth interior. 350 motor. Not hot- rodded. Basically stock with some minor upgrades when parts needed replacing. Loved that car. Had to sell for college money.
I get a little sad every time I watch a mecum auction because it would be so easy to replace... If I had a huge bank account balance. Someday for sure.
