The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Most "bankers hotrods" i.e. Buicks and Oldmobiles, had autos

Agreed, but all 442s (at least of that vintage) have a 4-barrel carburetor, 4-speed manual transmission and 2 tailpipes, hence the 442 moniker.:dblthumb2:

Yeah the original 4-4-2 it stood for that, I guess on the autos it would be 4 hundred 4 barrel 2 exhaust. Also some 442's had tri-power, yet another curve ball

So today was "Ferrari Day" at FuelFeds C&C in Winnetka ILL. I have to say there were as many Porsches there but all club members are welcomed!

The big dogs did show up though...Ferrari Daytona and 288 GTO, everything else was a bonus You'll see the gold colored M-B here, it's very rare...a Cosworth-tuned DTM homogation special, quite a treat. Also a Dino in a unique color as well as a Dino 2400 coupe, mega rare

Enjoy...

Yeah, still locked down. They're saying it may end Oct 11. But our state premier, like your governor, has just quit today, because of a political corruption investigation, so who knows what will happen.

Good grief. I could go off on a rant but i shouldn't...not the place for that lol. Just sounds like this scamdemic may never end.

Remember its supposed to be power to the people...not power over the people!

Best of luck over there!

Amen!

I'm on vacation with my daughter, she's almost 6 years old and there's NO indoor dining in Kentucky...I'm on the road, you know what I'm saying. Atleast in Tennessee there's an adult in charge...indoor dining and a quick bathroom stop was available for us.

This could go waaaaaay off topic and we don't want the thread closed, its for how your ride sits, so here's how it sat the past 2 days

Do they use a different rating system over there? Our minimum is 91 octane, middle is 95, and premium is 98. You can also get E10 that is rated at 94. My FJ recommends running on 95.

Yeah that's the basic system right there. I've seen 4 with 91 added, which makes NO sense. I was in Colorado back in 2009 and saw 85-87-90 because of the altitude I'm assuming.

The Sunoco stations used to have 94 octane but was phased out by the early 90's.

I forgot there's also E85 available here, but only at very limited outlets. It has an octane rating of 100-105. It can only be used in vehicles rated for flex fuel, like my Berlina wagon below, it had the GM 3 litre V6 flex fuel motor, it gave it a very noticeable bump in power with E85, but used 25% more fuel doing it.
