The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Sounds good and like the idea of “EDM” badge. Good idea on the red but what about mechanically separating the dot?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like your thinking there Crack but thr very small amount of black, satin vinyl does 2 things, seperates the dot from the letter, to the eye anyways and lastly ties in the black and red in the flag behind the N logo

This is how the Swedish EU version looks like. I think it's a cool thing to have the i30 batch

Agreed with Mr Crack. That bike looks phenomenal, let alone for that mileage. Have you owned it since new?

Yup, bought it new in Vegas on May 7th '99. I live in the Mojave Desert so it's seen rain maybe 5 or 6 times at most. It's probably only had a couple of soap/water washers in all that time too. There was a fairly craptacular wreck at 5pm on Sunday June 12th 2005 that shut down the 5 freeway for a while & resulted in a new fairing & ducktail. Few other minor parts (on the left side): Clutch lever, ignitor cover, bar end weight, foot peg & a turn signal... plus some internal plastic parts for the speedo/tach housing. Got rear=ended by some idiot crossing 6 lanes of traffic to take the 210 connector at 90mph, I was in the 5th lane.

Wow. Those sound like scary wrecks.

Little cruising at 2am.

Couple more interesting vehicles at work this week. A very short Land Rover Pick Up. Mechanically excellent, but the owner loves the external patina.

The other is an overlanding work truck, with a rooftop tent on top, so if you're working in the outback, you don't have to sleep on the ground with the snakes and spiders. Looks they've used a fair amount of tyre shine.

Ex army uni mog would be nice with some tasteful fruit added

They had one in a few weeks back, everyone who drove it complained about how uncomfortable and slow it was on the road.

Yeah i think you whoud have to buy one and sink at least 100k on top of the purchase price to get one set up for camping/ off road 4x4 I'd have one over a Landcruiser or even a Nissan patrol, Maybe a ute patrol V8 with a Harrap supercharger Im the MAN

The 3-Day polishing saga is finally over. My shoulders are killing me, and I'm gonna have liquid lunch in celebration. Overall, I got lazy. I decided to one-step it and accept whatever results may come. Collinite No. 325 did ok, but the spots I played with Jescar micro finishing polish look much better. Wasn't after the minor scratches(there are few), mostly going after the etching and holograms. Waxed with #476 and then 24 hours later a coat of #915. Happy to be back to the world of waxes. Spray stuff was getting boring. Too easy!

First off I need a Toyota expert here...this guy said the rims were optional on the..MR-S, yes or no I was trying to be nice when I said they look like Torque Thrusts and he comes back at with a "well they're not", guess he doesn't know what "like" means. This car would get laughed out of ANY tuner show and to be a "winga dinga" show here, I don't get it, home made redline tires, a hood ornament in the grill, faux Pep Boys vents and a sign about what's all original, people don't do that with THOSE kinda cars, absolute joke and talk about identity crisis

Then there's a Bricklin there, 1975 and I guess it carries its original 1975 dirty tired and rims too

Now this Mach I w/perf pack, those rims

Lastly this 1969 Opel Cadet, parked since the mid 70's, original patina...very cool indeed!

The thing I don’t get Klasse is why you took so much time with Photoshop putting those red lines on the MR2 tires. That wasn’t very nice of you. Lol!

My first car was this Opel Kadett 1.2L 1977. It where repainted by a friend of mine and we did some work on it as well. Deleted the front and rear bumper and switched the exhaust. Sadly I don't have any pictures of the front. As we added metall panels to the grill area to box in the headlights. A big metall panel where welded in where the rear bumper was. I got a lot of crap for the original paint color choice. But I loved that orange. Sadly I crashed it after 2 years.

In the background you see a lot of Volvo PV 544 and 444 and some other Volvos. The Volvo club was on a tour driving around. So they took a break just outside of where I lived then

It's sad that I was not much into taking pictures then. I have owned an Opel Manta CC. By some called one of the ugliest cars in the world And it sure is and my was in brown metallic paint also

This is an Opel Manta CC. And I had the steel wheels like on the Kadett It's the front that where ugly. But when I searched for a picture of this. I noticed that the prices is quite a lot of these now. They had serious problems with rust as most Opel had. The Manta where their sport modell but not the CC version. The Manta is otherwise quite nice cars actually IMO.

Pretty sure the Kadett came to Australia as the Holden Gemini, I think they had a 1.6 out here. You could get in Sedan, Coupe, Wagon , and Panelvan.

Was into JDM’s back when this came out but MR-2 weren’t my thing. That being said i don’t remember those wheels being OEM.

Here’s the thing. I 100% agree nothing on that car does anything for me. That being said he’s a car guy. If he felt you were picking apart his car i woulda felt the same it’s his car. If he likes the mods or wants to believe those are OEM wheels so be it. It’s his car.

There are folks out there who love my Chevelle and some who think I ruined it…. Thing is it doesn’t matter. In my eyes those who don’t like it just have bad taste. But it’s just actually there taste. I tell them when you buy one you should do what you just told me you’ll probably love it but for me, on my car…. She’s just fine.

But yeah…. That car…..has…a lot…going on.

I haven’t like a mustang since the 18 refresh (gt350 and 500 excluded). That one right there though, is sexy. Where we differ is those wheels would be 1st to go as it still looks like a stock Mach 1 and I would want it to look unique if I pulled up to another one.

Well I had respect or sense enough to not pick his car apart infront of him, all I said was "those wheels are OEM, don't remember those?" and tried to make conversation to say "they kinda look like Torque Thrusts" and he says "WELL THEIR NOT!"...no sh!t Sherlock, I'm 52 yrs old and been around a bit, grown up around stuff and didn't think I was to far off base saying what I said. I couldn't believe the guy was so stand off-ish, better grow some think skin ruining an MR-S like that, car has a major identity crisis

As far as your Chevelle goes, your right, they have bad taste, not an opinion here, just a fact. The old "winga dinga" guys have no room for growth when it comes to things. Sorry, some people wanna be able to take a corner better, ride better, stop better and in general loom better and be more modern out there. It's not like your Chevelle looks like some DUB CITY toy car sold in the Wal-Mart toy section
