Reason I was OK getting a white car. This was the one before it…. FU€l< black cars!
Everyone else thought she looked hood as she was well maintained.
I knew every minor nick scratch scuff. The would stare at my laughing at my pain.

I don't think I could ever buy a black car, too much work, too much disappointment. It's bad enough with the darkish blue of the Qashqai. My brother and sister in law are about to pick up black car's 2023 VW Amarok and VW Golf, I can't stand the colour look good for 5 minutes before they look dirty again.
White is better untill winter driving but i do say she look's good with the black bits.

I've had 3 white cars, all Holden Commodores. I was walking through a carpark the other day and I noticed a lot of the white cars had those black particulates from the exhaust all over the back of them, some worse than others. I'd forgotten all about that, it was really annoying when I had the white cars, you'd wash them, go for a drive, and you'd see it all stuck over the back. And if it rained before you cleaned it, it looked disgusting.

I'm a fan of silver or grey the old man's 2006 Ford Rtv utility get this annoying! Black streaks from under the headlights, i do get in there with a brush and give it a tickle but
i end up useing some paint cleanse.
It's 17 year's old and lives out side 24/7 he couldn't give a rat's about it but those black streaks just bug me.
They were sold over here as the Mazda 3 MPS, most people thought they were just a standard 3. You have to find someone who knows what they are to get decent money for them. While at the carwash after work I took a pic of this 2010 MS3. I noticed it while drying off the EN and was going to ask to take a pic because Derek0609 used to own one before he went on a Stinger bender
When he left he came by me and said "Love your car", so I asked him if I could take a pic and he said let me pull over. After taking a quick pic he showed me around his 13 yr old/120K MS3. It was overall in nice shape but that paint was baked...literallyI forgot the name but I've seen those last gen Eclipses in that orange just turn lighter colors/fade like this Lava red pearl has but hey, it was a 20 something driving a 6 spd and that's a great thing to see. He was also respectful of me by calling me sir and was very positive and outgoing, his parents did a great job raising him
There was a bagged Stang there and a FoST, also modded 8th gen Si, always cool, modded cars coming in and out of this place, just waiting on the 991.2 GT3 to come back there because I've seen or should I say HEARD that thing leave the wash several times
Guess I didn't miss doing the FNW there today, worked out great!![]()

Is that the OE hood, looks different than oursThey were sold over here as the Mazda 3 MPS, most people thought they were just a standard 3. You have to find someone who knows what they are to get decent money for them.
There's a 6 in the same colour I walk past most days, there's almost no clear coat left on the roof.![]()

Yeah, that's OE, maybe something to do with airflow to the intercooler, or local safety regs.Is that the OE hood, looks different than ours
I'd imagine the clearcoat down there gets hammered BADLY & QUICKLY, even garaged, huh

Love the 35th Edition rims. I put Golf R rims on my Mk6 TDI, customer got tired of bent rims so we swapped haha. I'm an OEM+ kinda guy. Same with my GTI, what "mods" it had were just GTI Clubsport S parts. That muffler was so good....ugh I miss that noise. You have to be the only Volkswagen guy that has their stock rims on the car still.

Yeah I hear yah about a "special edition" model and it's rims being left alone and like you said, you've done "OEM+" or as I coined the term in the early 2000's "factory aftermarket".Love the 35th Edition rims. All my brother in laws have modded cars from GTIs to Ram TRXs and they always ask me when I'm gonna mod my car. I counter and ask when are they actually going to wash their filthy cars. LOL

No doubt but the peer pressure from the VDub community has gotta be stronger than "needs to be lowered guy" when it comes to "when you gettin' rid of the OEM rims" guy. They look really nice though!
