I miss my little old '82 Rabbit diesel 5 speed! Not much on HP but torque all day, just short shift the eff out of it and with the small size it was great around the City. 50 mpg, too!

Oh man, in '82 my sights were set on a GTI. One of those years around there it was the quickest car for sale in the US, IIRC...about 10 seconds zero-60. Those were some tough times.

My 2012 TDI Golf was the best car I ever owned. Rest it's recycled/crushed soul. Give me dat buyback money I got 50+mog without trying. Went 786 miles one-way to Chattanooga, TN and still had 3/16 of a tank left. Averaged 57mpg. Crazy. Great daily. But we all learned why it smelt like when warming up in the winter. 22x the legal limit of NOx emissions lol.

Think of this one like your GT500, as in supercharged V8........................just with narrower rear tyres without much grip.






Slow, but has a charm of its own. Actually, I laugh because for what I paid for this thing in 2008, well that buys you a mid spec Mazda CX-5 with 187hp / 186 lb-ft. This old dinosaur produces 282 hp / 310 lb-ft..........................progress hey.
