Parked by this new Z06 today. My car is 8 years old and will hit 100,000 miles this week but it still holds it's on next to new model

Doesn't the time only start once you break the beam?

Yes, but the time from breaking the beam to 60' isn't what it can be, I am doing 1.9X seconds to 60'. I should be able to make 1.7X with more practice.
1.7 should break me into 11s

Oh yeah, a 1.7 60 ft for sure puts you into the 11's.

For those of you old school guys who haven't been paying attention were talking about a Caddy wagon with a s/b and supercharger flirting with 11 second quarter mile times with an intake only! I have to say the current "good ol' days" are really something, glad I'm alive for this current run!!

True, this thing would run circles around my '69 Road Runner or my '70 429 Mustang.
And thats before either car had to make a turn

....and on the freeway it can run what, 170 mph and set the cruize @ 70 mph and it returns 24-25 mpg's! All things to all people👍

Btw is yours an auto or manual?

Mine's an auto, and 17.5 is about average MPG on the highway.
It weighed 4700 Lbs on the scales Saturday with 1/4 tank of fuel.

4700 lbs....!

I'm surprised the mileage is what it is, have you ever figured the mileage out the old fashioned way? I use the Fuelly app for my car but I'm sure you don't wanna know my mileage, LOL😋
