Just bought her Saturday and rode her home from Ohio, through Canada, back to Boston. Went through 3 rain storms and 2 thunderstorms. 850 miles, 2 days.

GPS took me off roading briefly and got mud everywhere.

Gave her a quick wash, and clay barred. Gonna hand Polish and wax her when I get a chance.

I just wanna say this, I'm not a bike guy and have NO desire to ever ride one or even get into them but that is one BAD ASS LOOKIN' MACHINE Love how it looks like it built out of gurders, really beefy looking!

As you can tell in how I described the bike I don't know about them but this thing is impressive! If you had to compare it to something in the car world for what it does as far as perf wise compared to its competition, what would it be?

Haha. It's okay. What your referring to is Ducati's signature trellis frame. They incorporate the trellis into the aesthetics of the bike. Most manufactures used to hide their boxy frame as it wasn't really pleasing to the eyes. I think Ducati was really the first to embrace it into their design and now many manufactures try to do the same.

The bike world technologically move faster than the car world. I don't know if this is true but I've heard that race track technology gets transfered to production bikes within 5 years. For cars it's more like 10+ years. My bike is a 2010 Ducati Streetfighter 1098S, but its a stripped down version of Ducati's Superbike from 2007 so you're looking at a engine that's almost 10 years old. So it makes 155hp and weighs 433lbs wet. Today's Superbikes in the same class are around or over 200hp. Crazy! The Kawasaki H2R makes 277 wheel hp stock (easily tuned to 300whp+ with ecu flash) and weighs 470lbs. This is a bike you can buy off the show room floor.

That being said, at 433lbs and 155hp, that would put my bikes power to weight ratio of 2.79lbs/how. That would put it around the McLaren P1 according to this website.(http://jalopnik.com/the-ten-production-cars-with-the-craziest-power-to-weig-1641624397)

But a bike also creates more drag than a car so that comes into play especually at high speeds.

Wow....a P1!

Thank you for the detailed answer, maybe I'll see you down on the Dragon in the future!

I know right? Found this video of a more current Ducati Panigale 1199 vs a P1 and Porsche 918 racing down a drawstring. Skip to 6:40 for the actual race.

Bikes have dirty aero when compared to cars so top end cars always start pulling.

I was debating between the dragon or Nova Scotia this year buy ultimately decided on NS. The dragon will have to wait another year!

It will be there waiting for you! Come to think of it, while down at a gas station in Robinsville NC, near the beginning of the Dragon, I saw a bike that blew me away. I walk over to the guy and ask him what this bike is equivalent to in the car world and he told me a Ferrari Enzo. The bike was a Triumph 777🇬🇧

Removed the tint from my tail lights, cleaned the interior and did a waterless wash on the Fusion in preparation for this weekends Fusion meet in Chicago. Mine is the 1st Gen on the far right.

Been a sad week. Brothers brand new navigator is going for a repainting on the hood and bumper. Shop that installed the clear bra used razor blade to trim the Film DIRECTLY against the paint striking all the way through the paint. Also, when I started to remove the fresh clear bra, some paint came off with it.... Was pissed to say at least.

Vehicle has 2500miles...

After the whole paint drama is finished, it'll be going to Willis at Windows and wheels for a quality PPF job.....

What a crappy job installing the PPF. Sorry you have to deal with that. Hopefully the hacks that did the job are compensating you and covering the costs of repair.

3. DP wheel coating
4. Hand buffed it with Cobra mirofiber

The interior was cleaned and treated with Blackfire.
