Dicey ride to work this morning! Had to get off of the freeway, didn't even look plowed. Slow go and now I get to go back on the road in couple hrs, part of the job when your a delivery driver

I was one of the last to leave the office today at 3 PM. We dismissed early due to heavy snow. This was right before our plow guy cleaned a path in the middle of the parking lot. Before that people were getting stuck trying to leave. All season tires suck in deep snow.

All the roads from the office to my neighborhood had been plowed. My neighborhood has yet to be touched. No one was on the road leading into the neighborhood so I went into the opposite lanes and made a straighter shot in to our subdivision. I felt the car start to bog down in the deep snow so I channeled my inner Clarkson and applied MORE POWER! I power slid around the corner into our cul de sac and drifted by my driveway. Put her in reverse and got her on the cleared driveway.

My wife measured the snow in the cul de sac at 6” before noon.

We got at least three more inches after that.

We have a couple more inches forecast for tonight and a couple more for Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Winter tires. FTW!
 
36* and the 6" we got the other day started to melt. The sun was out which made it nice so all that gave the me the urge to try out that little Worx Hydroshot sprayer and do a waterless on my car. Now she's put away until Monday to keep the messy slush off her for a few days. Off to drive some new CUV's with wife Saturday so we'll take her van with us.

Same poses as usual since my garage is about where she's always parked:

Hydroshot worked pretty well. Took a minute or so to prime the hose but I like it. I used the shorter lower power wand. Next time I'll try the longer one. Great find my friend!

The longer wand gives more pressure, thus you'll go through more product but also work faster. I hear yah about the prime time too, just use that clip and ball to keep the end submerged in the bucket and you'll be all set.

Looking forward to you using it to clean the tires and wheels properly next

Not sure what you mean by properly? I coated them with about 10 miles on them. Rinseless wash and a speed-brush is all I need to use on them. I rarely need to break out anything more.


Back to the Hydroshot, I used primarily the higher pressure setting and the 40* fan setting to soak the car. I did turn it to the shower setting at the end of the soak stage to set up some really large bead/drops of solution. Battery wise, I can likely get 2 cars done on one charge of the stock battery. Not that I needed to, but I put it back on the charge while I was washing just because it made sense.
 
I say properly because you can spray and scrub the tires and wheels to get them very clean, even the wheelwells and power away everything, coated or not it has enough power to keep everything clean as a whistle there. Give it a shot next wash

gotcha. will do. I will likely use it a lot during the winter.
 
Problem with winter tires it warps your feel of bad roads. You get to work and people are like how were the roads for YOU and you are thinking umm normal ? Then you remember when you stepped out of your car it was almost a fall on your ass moment from the snow and ice
