I just finished applying a fresh coat of sealant on the Kia.

Cheer up Finick.

While you were doing that, I mistakenly looked at the weather a few days ago and saw 38 and was like “Man that’s warm” and went out to wash my car, only to find out it was 25 with the wind chill, and my ONR was freezing to the surface of the car

It wont freeze on the surface as long as you are working in the sun. I have had instances where the towel stuck to surface because it froze right up in the shade.

That’s crazy... Hey I just sent you a PM about that thing.

Man I’m gonna be honest, I was like 1/3 of the way through when the sun disappeared behind clouds and I just couldn’t stop because I’m stubborn.

My towels I had put on the edge of my bucket were freezing, and it was really just a silly experience all the way around. For the first time in my life that I can remember I muttered the words “I can’t wait for it to get warm outside.”

5am start at work. 3" on the ground already, and no snowplows as of yet.
All hail AWD.

Imagine when you put winter tires on those stock rims! I forgot your car was AWD, knew the old one was, GGOD FOR YOU

It’s been a dry winter and we finally had a good dose of rain. She was washed about a month ago with ONR and OptiSeal as a drying aid with CarPro PERL on the tires.

This is what happens when it’s 18 degrees with a single digit windchill this morning after 40 and raining last night, frozen beading. Lol

Nice sunny day in the NW! Decided to try some new products been stockpiling. Griots foaming surface wash. Works well, 1st foamier I felt did anything. Optimum car soap. Foamy in the bucket but felt more like a rinseless cleaning car. Weird if not different, cleaned well though, Griots rubber cleaner. This is detergent based cleaner. Not as strong as others but cleaned well as tires not too dirty. Perl on the tires. Love the look on my Nittos. More of a semi gloss look. Dried with leaf blower then with homemade elixir with PFM’s. The hype is deserved these towels are best drying towels I’ve used. 2 16x16 did the trick. Used megs ultimate wheel cleaner on my wheels with wheel woolies and auto fiber wheel mitts.

She did outside guard duty while I keep my sons new Jeep in the garage to stay warm for this weekends detail work.

Once all cleared off I took her around to play in the 5-6" of fresh stuff. Plowed through it like I knew she would with ZERO issues. Gotta love AWD. Having had several SUV's and Audi and now this AWD Beast, I'll likely never go without it.
