First wash of the wife's new Mazda since it was coated back in December and the only wash of my sons car since probably November. Both came out perfect and of course the ceramic coatings are doing their job nicely. No impact from winter and they shed water like day one still. Impressive considering my sons car was done July of 19 with a 3 layer system. 2 layers of UK 3.0 and 1 layer of Gliss v2.

Beautiful day and got in a long therapeutic wash with WG SiO2 Wash. Wheels and tires with Reset.

Finally caved in and had my truck professionally done after 6 years.
I’m an active member here, so obviously it wasn’t bad. However I wanted the undercarriage and engine bay done so I just had them do the interior and wash exterior while it was there.
My question is what do they use on the frame and undercarriage. It looks new, but you can see where they didn’t dress it shows it’s age obviously. I tried to see the jugs, and I believe it’s the meguires detailer line, but I figure that’s rude to ask lol.

Naturally I had to bring it home and finish a few odds and ends that I am particular about.

I really like those, and I’ve always loved the wheels on those. Nice car!
Thank you sir! I have had a thing for them for a while. Couple weeks ago I decided it was time and found one in LA, hopped on a plane and drove it back to Oregon. Great cars

That light looks like a great replacement for my ancient halogens!

Megs ultimate wash and wax to touch things up

Finished work early so I could get the big Falcon out of the garage for a drive.

Just a nice country road drive, although some heavy applications of throttle were needed! :D

It took all of my self control to not add a few fat Dunlop scented marks at my photo location.

Although, maybe that would help accelerate the need to get some Michelin PS4S's. This car still wears it's factory fitted Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires, widely regarded as truly terrible in containing the grunt on tap. After nearly 7 years, these things are even worse now. The traction control flashes in 3rd gear, pointing in a straight line!

I'd be checking the date code on them, to see just when they were manufactured. My mum has a habit of aging her tyres out, rather than wearing them out, due to granny driving rather than not being a daily driver. On her old Commodore she'd always complain when they start to feel a little slippery in the wet, even though they were only half worn, but had 40k on them. The Qashqai is getting there now, tyres are almost 5 years old, but have only done 28k. The replacements will be something soft and performance oriented, rather than these eco tyres.
