...I'm also past the 600 mile break-in period too! I plan on doing an oil/filter change @1K because I'm sure there's metal shavings floating around in there, cheap insurance Now I've got free maintenance for the first 3 yrs/36K but I'm pretty sure they'll not do it that early. I plan on using Motul 0w30 and either a Wix filter or Hyundai filter which I heard Wix makes for them.

I did my first oil change at 600 miles, by then the rings should have sealed and I wanted to get the particulate OUT (like you said oil is cheap insurance) it was pretty shimmery. Then the next at 1600 miles. Third at 3000 miles, and then every 3k or annually which ever comes first.

I’ve got about 20k miles and have 7 changes, I do the service myself so I’m only paying for oil and filters which is about $80 a change. I use Castrol Professional which is what Audi recommends and I don’t want to give them any reason to try to void my powertrain warranty if anything were to go wrong (it’s an RS3 so the powertrain is what I paid for).

Pretty satisfied with the looks on the paint at the moment. It's not great defect wise but will see what I kan be doing about it

And for my american friends. Don't know when BMW was able to be bought for you. When I drove out of the grossory store that the picture of my car is taken. I saw this veteran BMW 1600-2 1969. I stopped just for you guys and snapped a picture Man if I would know the owner I would offer to do a polishing job for free. There are not many of these left. And interesting is the grill. It's actually looks a lot like the new BMW grill that has gotten so much bad critics. Since the bumbers are so different today. They get huge looking the center of them. I'm not a BMW guy but this modell I do like a lot. Then of cause the E30 M3 is beutieful and some other modells here and there.

Also reminds me of this Holley EFI dash. Been looking into EFI for the chevelle next mod…. Lot’s of folks talking to me about going to an LS but I feel a old school BB is just what belongs.

A 7.0L LS6 (LS) is still 427 cubes AND lighter AND revs higher AND more reliable AND makes power alot easier
