The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Wiper arms are among the most neglected part of the vehicle.
I take care of the blades, but not the arms.

Ditto. It's really stupid, half the time I don't even wash them because I wind up flipping them up to do the windshield (depending on the car). But the stupid part is with WOWA sealants and spray waxes, there's really not a good excuse for not keeping them in good shape, and once they get faded, it's like impossible to polish them back because of all the irregular shapes. Now that I think of it, I have used WETS on them...but the last time I put WETS on anything was like 100 years ago...because...I never do anything anymore.

On my other cars they just get whatever LSP is on the rest of the car

It depends on the car, but on Bill's Caddy he'll definitely need a puller. Some of the Asian cars have a serrated connection that you don't need to pull like the splined ones. I think I had to pull a wiper arm off once but for the life of me I can't remember why.

I’m not messing with trying to remove the arms. I’ll try my luck with the painting. One day if I need a pro to paint it, I’ll seek one out

Yeah, I know, Bill. I was just agreeing with Eldo, the splined ones on the old GM cars are on there. Did I have to replace a wiper motor on one of my old cars? I am still trying to remember how I know about pulling wiper arms, although I just looked and I don't seem to have a puller for that, although I did find some other tools I forgot I had--it's rough when you reach my age, lol.

My dad has many of my grandfather’s tools many of which are going on a hundred years old. They don’t make them like that any more

I know I'm older than you Bill...but I don't have any 100 year-old tools! You need to talk to my friend who is an obsessive flea market tool collector.

Uh oh, a collection turned into a problem obsession

Hey, don't start with that--us Flavor of the Month members might have a lot of microfiber towels...and a few cans of #16, and maybe a few bottles of pre-VOC 845.

But yes, he has a problem.

I think I may have beat the strong desire to get the flavor of the month stuff I resist all the sales e mails I get and I try to do my homework on products thoroughly before finally trying them. I actually have some shelf space now!

I canceled my membership in the Flavor of the Month Club years and years ago. I have had trouble kicking the MF towel habit though. I'm literally still trying to use up stuff I bought when I joined Autopia almost 20 years ago. I rarely buy any chemicals now, although I keep gravitating back to the Dr. Beasley's NSP page...

Sheesh, we kind of thread-jacked this thread, Eldo is going to have to Photoshop out all these posts.

I have some stuff from 20 years ago and products from the days of my moderator perks at Autopia.

Too bad there isn’t a chat room on this site, the three of us could’ve spoke there and avoided the thread jacking. I’m done now

Gee, I haven’t logged in that way for so long I didn’t even see that. I’m always on Tapatalk. I’ll just post there when I want a conversation with you guys for now on.

Here's what the EN SHOULD look like without the goofy front plate, I'm jealous
