My question is, do i also use a grit guard in the second bucket or just in one ?

Greets

I also use them in both buckets for normal washes and even more so with ONR washes.

the more grit guards the better, id say use one in each bucket if not 2 in each bucket

you can get away with one, but two are indeed safer ....

I use 1 or none in wash, 2 in rinse (especially when none in wash).

OH boy, I'm the oddball here.

I use one in the wash and none in the rinse.....my bad...

But when I think about it the mitt goes from the wash to the car to the rinse where the junk is rinsed off.... The thing that's a shame is I have two!!

I'll use two from not on....

I prefer a Dirt Dobber in thee rinse bucket and a GG in the wash. The Dobber washboard works great!

I have a pair in each bucket.

Overkill? Maybe. But they were on BOGO a while ago. How can you not buy too many?

Next time you finish a wash of a 'really clean' car, just let the water sit in your bucket for a day or 2, then pour off.

All the yecch that settles in the bottom of the supposedly clean wash bucket will guide you. I'd post a photo, but I just rinsed mine out.

I can tell the difference as I wash. The rinse bucket always looks murky at the end and the wash bucket is nice and clear.
