The ULTIMATE Sponge Comparison

Very interesting. I was always Leary of sponges but I guess I shouldn't be.

I am using the CarPro merino wool mitt now after years of microfiber mitts.

Why did you like the Big Red for rinseless? You said it held solution, expensive, and durable but not sure why this is your favorite for rinseless.

Nice review.

I have been using the Lake Country Blue Cube Sponge without any issues but maybe I need to expand my horizons a little. But I do like and usually do a multiple Mf towel rinse-less wash.

I just got a couple of CarPro's sponges and I love them. They are super cheap and really soft.

The only reason I use it most is because it doesn't leak in the floor as much walking to my car. Otherwise I have the same results with the other sponges.

Another reason I use it at work most is because my boss wants it to be used lol.

Which Aqua did you use in test? Amazon shows several versions...fine pore utility, poly sponge and chamois, tile and grout, and a few others.

Thanks.

David
The first result on Amazon which is the Fine Pore Utility sponge.

Never seen those before. Just looked them up and they are cheap! Can you post some close up pictures here?

Its not a item that AG carries so not sure if its appreciated if I do, but I think its something they should carry.

It almost has the look of a natural sponge with varying size of pores from very large to small. It ended up being a lot bigger then I thought it was going to be, might cut one in half and use it for IronX. The best thing about it is how soft it is.

Thanks for this review Conman! Nice descriptions and how you tested/showed the firmness.

I bought the Home Depot QEP sponge not long after reading this and also cut cubes into it like you did with the Aqua Sponge. Comes in quite handy and works well. Might have to grab a bigger pack this time.

I have the LC blue cube sponge and some Eco smart waterless wash...

Should I?

Wow nice thread. I was thinking yesterday about starting a thread asking what people use for rinse less washes.
I was considering the BRS and the BBS. I was also thinking the Adams 10" wash pad. I never considered regular sponges from the local home improvement store.

Thanks
