The wax look cant be faked!

Totally agree with all said. I have not personally tried Souveran...YET! I was looking at it though and saw that here is a paste and a liquid. What does everyone prefer? I like the idea of the liquid because I've become lazy now that I have my PC lol. I'm not opposed to the paste though, just takes longer by hand.

The paste pops out very easily and you just rub a couple times on your pad on your pc and go to town.

I like both.......Wolfgang 3.0 topped with Optimum spray wax gives me the best of both worlds. Try it, you'll like it!

This is a good thread sure enough because if you like the look Meg's #26 gave your then new 90' Corvette, your going to love the way it looks on your retirement nestegg depleted 14' Corvette, so go for it. I guess it really comes down to the way you like your car to look, how often you wax and how big your arms are and/or want them to be. I for one lived through the era of Meg's #26 and loved using it because of how it smelled and because of the rep of Meg's. Flash forward to about 2005 where I found Klasse Sealant Glaze, game over! Then I found AG and it was like a parting of the sea, the rest of detailing world became available, better shine, easier shine, just everything made easier!

I will never go back, I'm done with carbs and love fuel injection!!!

My detailer put my second coat of KSG on my black
Obsidian Lexus and it made a huge difference. Do you start over
once you're at 4 or 5 OR? Feed back please. :buffing:

Love the look of wax but would not take it over my Cquatz Finest coating. The look is amazing and very long lasting. I use Reload every couple months to keep it extra slick.

You mean 4 or 5 coats of KSG? If so, well no, you just maintain it at that point because you've got a great base coat of KSG laid down with the 2 and if spaced out a "little bit" the additional 2-3 just adds more protection.

With all this resurgence in KSG lately I'd love to add some but with the coating on its not advised....they say.

The only thing the two have in common is the name Souveran. The liquid is a nice product but the paste is the one to have, whether you apply with machine or hand.

I read about popping the paste out of the jar. I tried it with some Meg's UPW but it fell apart. That's my only concern. Any tips or tricks to doing this?

I agree with the OP. I love the look from a wax.

I've never had the joy of spreading a high end wax on a black sports car, but back in the early 2000's I had a silver BMW 3-series that received regular treatments of a respectable carnauba wax. The warmth and depth of shine were even noticeable on a light color like silver.

Unfortunatly, it was life that lead me into sealants. I just didn't have the time to be constantly waxing the car, no matter how much I enjoyed it or liked the results. Sealants twice a year made more sense than wax every 2~3 months. Some day I'm hoping life will become more simple again and I'll get back to being able to wax again. Maybe I'll even have a nice black sports car to use it on as well!

^ Agreed. I've never been able to put on a high dollar wax either and have gotten into the sealants that last a lot longer. The most expensive wax I've ever applied would be Meg's Gold Class. That has always been a top line to me. I've never had a garage queen that the $60 Souveran would be preferred on. I don't see the point of spending that kind of money for something that isn't going to last that long.
