Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

I'm thinking that, although I hate to assume such, as the owner is a pretty nice guy.

The place is much closer to home (15 min), and paid a whole lot cheaper than another facility I use for my other powder coating needs 1.5 hr drive away.

They cost more, but they also specialize in power coating wheels - very popular with CCS guys.

Serves me right for being cheap & lazy...

Your not cheap, your smart. The process is the process, whether it's a place that charges less of more, you know what I mean.

I was talking to my buddy Hectour tonight and for right now I'm not doing anything to the car but driving it. The stripes are staying the same and when I get the satin black winter wheels on I can then see what that does to the look of the car and go from there. I could also be lucky enough to get the pedal style wheels I posted a couple pages back, see the turbo model I posted pics of with them on there. I could also have the stockers done 3-4 shades darker as well, it's all wide open.

I told my buddy Hectour I've never been so indecisive about ANYTHING car related like I've been now and it all started when I got the red 5 spokes that didn't match my stripes, can you say slipery slope😱😈😫😝

Seriously slippery, and often, a very steep slope.

I've just put a deposit down on a set of chassis bracing; front & rear cross member and T-bar.

My excuse? "I need to stiffen things up or the AST coilovers would be a complete waste."

Learning that sometimes the best move is NO move. I have plans to use the stripe job I worked for to use on another car, a person having a tough time right now and would be blown away by the jesture. Not posting this to get a "thata boy" but rather to inspire someone else out there to do something similar💡👍😀

Need to mod my car down to this size, but how😝

You mean you bought a kit and gave it away, or you're in the decal/graphic industry?

Either way that's mighty cool of you.

BTW, how many trackdays have you done with the Abarth? My Forester have seen more time than the STi. Pretty much double the hours now that I've thought about it.

I have done ZERO track days with the Abarth but have been to the Dragon twice with it, 3rd trip coming this fall.

As far as the graphics work, I'm not in the industry but a buddy of mine is, owns his own shop and more times than not we exchange service for service but he has paid in the past. I actually talked to my buddy the other day who's probably going to be getting his Stang striped for free because of the work I did on that xB a while back. Like I said he's going through a tough time right now and this little gesture could go a long way, no biggie to me as I did something I enjoy doing and now I get to do something else I enjoy doing, helping someone out

Yeah I love BBQ, especially RUB, but here's the REAL reason I love it so much (atleast this location in Oak Brook) ....single parking spot 😎

I had a mini sliced brisket sandwich with spicy honey/garlic sauce, spicy pickles, creamed spinach, peach cobbler and lemonade/iced tea and hush puppies (not pictured as they weren't ready yet) I LOVE GOOD BBQ!

Last pic was from the lot I parked in while at a Classic Car Show in the high end of town😋

....and then these have come out, available in white, this matte silver and always popular gloss black, my favorite:doh:

When I saw these last night I had to try hard to to scream O M G outloud as baby Kendall was sleeping. What do you guys think of these funky wheels?

So I went to OZ's website and it just gets better! The chrome bowl center cap is an option, YES!, don't want that and get this, the wheels can be color matched to your car as well (for a fee I'm sure) Now I will not get them my color but red is an option.....just kidding but my car does come in a darker Gray and that would be it.

I was planning on buying winter wheels and redoing my stock wheels but this changes everything. Right now it looks like the stock wheels will go back into winter duty and the money I planned on spending on winter wheels will go towards offsetting the price of painting the wheels a bit darker from the OZ factory.

Oh yeah, the OZ wheels say MADE IN ITALY on them 🇮🇹

The color I would go with is on the right but in other pics it looks much lighter than that, I want darker for sure. The other wheels shows what OZ offers to its customers to customize the wheels to the color of their car, I've never seen some of those colors on the 500, even overseas ones.

IMO the wheel looks sooooooo much better without the centercap, I found out it comes with them at no cost, guess it would find some type of use for me.

The wheels are $239 per and I'm not sure what the upcharge is for the custom color. That powder blue one, on the upcoming powder blue for the Abarth would look KILLER, especially with some matte orange stripes and gumball with some type of number in a vintage font....one can dream, right, LOL!

EDIT: The bolt pattern is 5, those must be for a MINI.

I agree, I think they look really sharp on the Fiat. They probably would look good on a Mini.
There's pics of them on the MINI and yeah, they look great on there too
