Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

Hopefully my graphics guy can find a red vinyl that matches my wheels now! I didn't expect it to be this much off. In the indoor pic here it's not as bad but if you look at the pic I posted from yesterday it does. The more I looked at it today the more obvious it became. The stripes and calipers match though, LOL, can't believe I can joke about it as I'm pretty bummed out.

I will see the owner of Xtreme Graffics on Tuesday and we'll try and figure this out. I really don't wanna remove the stripes because I like them so much and the car would look naked without them IMO. I will post up a pic of another Nero Abarth with red wheels and you'll see what I mean...

"Red and clean" did apply to the weekend, I did clean and re-oil my K&N yesterday, LOL.

Roger, I'm not too sure how I feel about the red wheels....

Let them grow on me :)

I hope you get the vinyl straightened out though.

I know they are obnoxious and RED and I'm going tomorrow morning before work to pick up my custom centercaps so the wheel look will at least be complete.

I'm going to see what we can do about the color of the stripes though. If nothing can be done I may have to remove the stripes which I don't wanna do but because the wheels are so red and the stripes have an orange tint to the red I don't think it will ever grow on me, this is why I posted the pics or the Nero with red wheels and no stripes to compare the "naked" look to.

The other option is to have the wheels powder coated to match the stripes...a winter project perhaps? Local shop runs a special in the spring of $200.00 but then I have to pay again to have the tires removed and then remounted and rebalanced again, oh well, so is life

Powder coating may be the best option... I wouldn't change the stripes.

Personally I love the black wheels. But see how the wheels go with a different red :xyxthumbs:

Ok, so I have the centercaps on now and really like how they turned out. As far as the stripes to it looks like we've found a solution and it's satin Crimson red. We took the swath outside, in the sun and put it next to the stripes and it was far more "pure" red. When you you put it next to the wheels it's very close but there's no way it could ever be a direct match and I'm ok with that. The old saying is "close only counts in horseshoes and hand granades", well, I can add this now too, LOL. He's going to redo the stripes, dash stripe and mirror caps with this. On a side note we also looked at the close version and even though it was the same color the gloss looked lighter, something we didn't want, weird how that works itself out.

The best part here is that I'm able to exchange service for service on this, so I'll be doing an exterior detail, by hand, on his work truck as well his wife's Yukon😀

Had the p/s rear wheel rebalanced because one of the weights came off 😅

One week from today I should be driving into Kentucky heading to the Dragon, the time is almost here! The slightly upsized tires, lighter and .5" wider wheels and the larger rear sway bar (28mm) should really improve the handling down there. In the future there will be adjustable yellow Konis for the rear, maybe lowering springs but no more than an inch and at some point yellow Konis for the front when the struts need to be replaced, all in time but only when these parts need replacing, then it's time to upgrade.

Wow! Almost here! Time flies!

Pic from a small, Euro show from this morning. I washed the car in the morning before the show because it rained yesterday as well as in the morning, so my wash got trashed. I then did a BFWW in the parking lot, along with a CG's Diablo wheel cleaning. Then a guy I met at another show with a Polestar V70 wagon had a dirty ride and really hated how his wheels looked so I offered to clean them with DUB, he had never heard of it. He was blown away with how they turned out! They turned dark red quickly, then I scrubbed them with my brush and rinsed with my 2 gallon hand pump, made them look brand new and he was very happy😎

There's something about introducing someone to something they didn't even know was available over the counter. For me it was rewarding to make those stock Polestar wheels look new, sorry no pics as I didn't even think of it but google this wheels....STUNNING👍

Thanks for taking care of my fellow Volvo owner. My brother just bought a T6 S60 with the Polestar software upgrade. Enjoy the dragon!!
