Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

From last week...all kinds of dirty! Here's one of my tires with 3 week old TW tire coating too.

Ok, let the Audi and Saab talk continue🇩🇪

Why not a Turbo X wagon with 6 speed Btw my one best friend with the MS3, a 2nd gen, was also a Saab guy before he got the MS3. It was an 05 with full BSR parts!

As much as id love a turbo x, I don't want the drive train issues. If they were to arise, it's not cheap at all. Lack of parts available doesnt help lol!

And I'm more of a pre 05 guy, after 05 you can really see the GM influence. Not that there's much wrong with that, but I'd rather feel as I were in a Saab not an impala.

Saab 99 turbo...did they make a wagon of those?

99 is a old model, like late 70s. I'm guessing you meant 9-5? If so yes. You can get the wagon with the aero package. Manuals are rare. I've wanted one to build for some time.

I meant the 99, love those😀

The Fiesta RS is only a rumor. Ford is not going to build it. A good tune and downpipe will get you 250 at the flywheel on the FiST

I want a fun dd that can run 13's. i believe i can put an intake/tune only FiST in the 13's on street tires. I put an intake/dp/tune Cobalt SST in the 12's on street tires back on the day. I just wish Ford would ditch the My Ford Toch/Sync, in favor of Android Auto

I'm looking at a 2008 they have the v8. Reliability issues don't bother me much, as an ex tech, I don't pay others to wrench for me so parts can be more and I still come out ahead saving on labor.

And I'm a Saab guy, but it's been trying to move on from them so I get the quirky cars lol.

Check out the Smoking Tire, Matt drives a modded version of the S4 I spoke about earlier, kinda ironic that spoke about it and then it appeared on his channel, LOL!

K, long time no see, bud. Happy New Year!

I see you are enjoying the Abarth. Did you get that turbo blanket you were eyeing?

I'm just curious, do you have Dyno numbers, or a time slip? I found a left over 2014 that I'm going to make a stupid offer on. I want an intake and tune and that's it

I haven't dyno'd the car yet but I would like to this year though. No plans for the drag strip but people have a tough time hooking them up.

I had the tuning box and intake done at the same time and it really woke the car up, very noticeable! I hear yah saying "I only wanna do a tune and intake and that's it" but these cars respond very well to all mods, it's very addicting

There's non power mods like short throw kit and engine mount that really improve things, rear sway bar flattens it out....BIG TIME! See, this is what I mean!!

Make that offer and let me know how it goes

The last contract had me all over the place. Spent a few months in the land down under. lol Good to be back. Nice to hear all is well on your end.

Nice mods! My very first was a short throw shifter kit (and bushings) as well. Sure improved the feel for us who love to row gears. Huh, for sure I thought braided brake lines were in your first group of upgrades. You'll love 'em, I'm sure of it. Get a master cyl brace, too, if you can. I love this combo on my Suby.

Well I'm going to do the SS lines when I do the brakes, this way it's a total replacement and upgrade at the same time. I've been on the Dragon twice and the brakes have felt great!

What do you drive again?

I have an 07 STi.

I haven't had the chance to drive through the Dragon, but I did rode through it while on a cross country bike tour with friends back in '98. What a beautiful stretch of road.

The 3 season set up as of spring of 2015!

Some Dragon and random shot for Noodle!

 :props:

The shot with the caravan in the mist.... Reminds me of the mnt roads we have here: La Honda/Woodside.

Gas station pic is probably my favorite of the bunch. :dblthumb2:
