Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

Happy Valentine's Day and Abarth-aversary!
So glad you are enjoying the car so much! Nice when are choices work out and we are happy with our cars!

There's nothing like it and it's when you know your driving "the one". I'm honest enough to say it isn't the greatest car out there but it's how you feel when your driving it, it's just "one of those cars". To feel the same way I would need to be driving an EVO IX MR SE or an E46 M3 to name a few to have that feeling of driving "the one".

I know exactly how you feel...
Anything else that remotely excited me car-wise is well out of my price range. I'm quite happy with my "Korean Ferrari" and my little Escape :dblthumb2:

Cheap fun doesn't come along everyday but in the case of the Abarth it does and it does it well! These cars don't sell for their MSRP so you can always get a deal on them and the money you save can go towards an extended warranty, LOL. The only other "cheap" hatch is the Sonic RS but it's not the complete package the Abarth is but you could make one perform pretty close to one to be fair. Of coarse the Fiesta RS or FiST as it's called is the Abarth's major competitor and does outperform the Abarth in stock trim, has more tech and Recaro seats are available and they are just AWESOME! It takes a well modded Abarth to hang with a stock FiST, add a tune to the FiST and forget it ===========

Now, all that said, when you drive the Abarth it makes you feel like your driving something, it has that "it" factor, fun in spades! Like I said, I look forward to getting into my car everyday....still 🇮🇹🏁

I hear you Roger! Keep in killing it with the Abarth! :dblthumb2:
And I will wait patiently for warmer weather when I can enjoy my Coupe again.

At least you are still driving it.... Although I will say I do really enjoy the Escape. It's not a bad drive for an SUV :dblthumb2:

I wish I could swing a winter car 😝 Actually when my wife's car is paid off it will be my winter car more than likely because it's at 138k right now and has a rust bubble in the p/s rear quarter panel, perfect for winter duty!

Let's try this again 😝

Nice job cleaning up the Abarth. The roads were an an utter mess as I made my way to O'Hare. You can bet there will be plenty of salt on the road when you head to work tomorrow. I'm stocking up on supplies and once old man winter makes his exit - I'm gonna give my DD a massive detail.

Sounds like a plan Cabrio, what do you drive?

My DD is a workhorse - 2008 Infiniti QX56. 137k miles and going strong. Love this beast. Don't know what I would have done without it over the years.

That's a luxury beast for sure, sounds like the maintenance has been kept up for sure

Nicely done! :dblthumb2:

K, got any D114? For nasty jobs, it's a really great cleaner. Would be perfect for a situation like yours. I've said it in another thread it's basically a paint safe APC, and I mean it! Love the stuff. I've even mixed a 1:128 solution instead of water with Uber and the combo simply rocks. Excellent for lower panels & splash guards.

I have plenty here. If you want some to try, let me know my friend. It's on me, no charge. Honestly, it's no trouble at all.

Message sent, thanks Brutal Noodle 👍

I ordered a set of spark plugs for the cat last week. OEM plugs are $100 a set but a vendor I've gotten a lot of my parts from got themselves a new 2015 Abarth and they installed a tune on it and couldn't use the stock plugs anymore, they needed cold ones. These plugs had 3k on them and I got them for $15.00.

I'm also ordering new lug bolts as the OEM heads always round a bit and some of mine are no exception. Seems the chroming process softens the metal and reads its head over time.

Spring is in 20 days, hopefully that happens and the 3 season set up goes back on....with a possible surprise coming, stay "tuned".

No Accessport for the Abarth. Kind of surprised by this. I thought there would be a market for it.
