Thinking of switching pads

Anyone have any feed back on Buff and Shine pads? I currently use LC pads and looking to possibly switch...

Only think i dont like is how Buff and Shine has 7 different pads in their line. For me at least the Lake Country are easier to remember.
 
I'm in the same boat just about to order some Buff and Shine pads.

that's funny I'm looking at b&s pads right now . pads r open cell . I did see that also said for da including the 3401 but nothing about rotary . I'm sure could still be used ?
 
Yes, B&S pads can be used Rotary, DA, Orbital.

My favorite is their Green polishing pad - very versatile and works great with each machine.

I would generally keep it to their -

Cutting - Yellow

Light cut / Polishing - Green

Finishing - Blue or Black
 
Ya i dont want to buy 7 pads so im looking for the best pads. Yellow, Green, Black/Blue makes it simple.

With LC i currenty use orange, white, black/blue. So i guess 4 pads is where id like to keep it. I use MF pads for heavy cutting.

Yeah, I think if you include flat, CCS, HT, PFW and the new hybrid pads I think LC has a lot more than 7 pads in their line, with the same colors that do different things. Take "blue": in the flat and CCS, blue is a finishing pad, in HT, "blue" (cyan) is a cutting pad, and in the hybrid blue is light cutting.

Beyond saying that I think LC pads might be more confusing than B&S, I'm useless.
 
Well i agree with you. I use the Flat currently. Was looking to switch to the HT. But now im considering buff and shine. I guess i could not be lazy and just label them.
 
I just ordered the heavy cutting orange hybrids yesterday but have nothing to use them on at the moment...
 
Ya i was looking at them because they seem pretty versatile and there are only 3 which is always a plus. But they also finish down better supposedly. How is the durability on them?

:iagree:Perfect answer. It's all I use with my rotary. M105 and the yellow pad cut well and finish down incredibly well. I highly recommend them. Getting them in a 6 pack is your best deal. Mine have lasted a whole season.

I believe B&S Yellow, Orange and White pads are Closed Cell European foam. As a beginner to Machine Polishing I found them to be much less confusing than LC pads and have had great results with Orange, Green and Red using ONE product that cuts, polishes and finishes that isn't sold here. The recessed Velcro to me is a great advantage as it offers that little bit of extra safety when working near protursion.
