This is how i do it!

I usually don't say much, but I went to see i guy who has a detail shop so he calls it by my area.When I got their th guy told me that he got 150 cars to do in two weeks. So asked him what is his does he told me he is so fast that he can high speed buff a f-350 in 15 min, I told him he should be in the world record books. He told me that he does not wash the cars he just puts a wool pad and some one step product on,and the washes the car. I asked him if he should wash the car first to prevent all the dirt from damaging the paint,he said no thats not a problem it takes to long. So this is the stuff you see out in some dealerships. Oh ya and he pays his crew a whopping $40 dollars a car.
 
dealerships are the worst!!!! they use cheap a i o glaze one steps. that cover up swirls.and washes off with the first rain. and all they do is spray slimmy dressings on the interior, for a quick shine. no thanks!!!!
 
Well dang guys... I thought it was pretty good!!!

Man I was using Simple Green straight in my cat's old litter box and picked up the wife's microfiber mop from it drying and thought I was doing pretty good.

Even found some red shop towels to wipe off the wheels and then clean the windows!!!

What ya think of that???
 
My wife is very much so a WOMAN , I know that for a fact . she is very metiulous to detail and can look at a car whether in a parking lot or show field and tell you what went wrong and what it needs . I sure am glad she did not read the first of this thread . She is not one to hold her thoughts long especially when being stereotyped . Good luck young man , you have a lot to learn about women and one just might teach you one day .
 
this guy is just here for reactions. he has to be. because all i know is my 6 year old daughter every other weekend when i have my kids is always tryiing to wash someones car. and last i knew she was a female.

that i gotta see. no offense to anyone but not many here(including myself) can do that everytime. thank god for the PC. lol

Sorry if I brought a old post back up but this was just to funny.

I am learning myself and it's sad that what I see from most detailers is jobs like this. I live next to a so called detail shop that sure enough uses wool pads and heavy cleaners and just scraps away the dirt and everything else in one pass. The cars come out with this haze that they cover with cheap wax that comes off in a month and the car looks worse then when they brought it in.

But they will do this for $100 LOL

I also went to the local Jaguar dealer to look at jaguar xkr portfolio. The detailer they used was ruining brand new cars. I told them I wouldn't buy one of these cars off there lot because the paint has been damaged. 100k car and some dickhead ruined it.
 
when i worked for a dealer we had a detail manager named jr that was outstanding in how he detailed cars. i also new a guy that had a detail shop that did detailes for car dealers . not only was he good he was also fast. he now works for weather tech detailing there 200 car collection. i guess that would be a detailers perfect job.
