For a mustang anyway. The tires protrude about a 1/4” pass the rims. I cut the cardboard a little oversized so I need to press it in. Then I jack it up so I can spin it. Giving me coverage to the edge.

That’s one way to do it. How do you like that Meg’s spray shine?

I like. :xyxthumbs:

I’ll often do the “spinning method”
for the front tires—but I can’t be
fully trusted when it comes to an
aerosol dressing!

Alas:
I’ve yet to perfect a “spinning method”
when it comes to dressing the rear tires.
That is...at least a safe one.

I like it very much. I bought the dr. Beasley’s matte tire conditioner but it’s way too much work. If you got groves in the tires you’ll need to brush it in. Otherwise it looks blotchy. Plus if you get it on the rim it’s hard to get off. The Meg’s wipes right off.

I jacked it up enough so the back tire was off the ground. This made it easy to cover the whole tire. I’m getting to old to jump in and out to reposition the tires.

I’ve got 8 - 1x6” by maybe a foot cedar boards leftover from a fence that I drive up on. Super easy

Wouldn't moving the car be easier than jacking the car up??

That's cool. I just carry a rim towel with me and clean them as I go.

i use this. Can order in several sizes doesn’t soak up product. Durable and easy to rinse.

Literally do the same thing right down to using leftover cedar fence :-)

that's why I bought the Dr. Beasley gel. but there's to many lines & groves in the side walls(both on my truck & car). so when i smear that stuff on it either cakes up in the groves or it doesn't get in at all. so then I'll use a brush & then that gel is all over the place. the gel's don't come off the rims to easy either. where the spray on stuff wipes right off. If I'm spraying the tires & heading out I'll use an old rag to wipe them first.

yeah I guess, but I was wanting to clean the inside wheel wells anyway. I'll be hitting 70 in a couple of months & getting in & out is challenging. these wheels are a beast to clean.
