For the third time in as many days, I have been viciously assaulted by an aerial fiend, who seems to really like my left quarter panel and has dropped a total of FOUR large, crusty, chunky, splattering bombs on my car. And also for the third time in as many days, I had to run out and blast the affected area with strong streams of water to get the bomb remnants off.

Now this really sucks because Saturday I did a two-step on the car (Meguiar's D151 Paint Refinishing Creme + Meguiar's Ult Fast Finish), then it rained, so I haven't had a chance to enjoy the fruits of my labors - no time to rewash the car either, so now it sits in the driveway with heavy water spots on the RR corner and dust/pollen and minor water spotting on the rest.

The only positive SO FAR is that even thought the bombs have dried on the paint, they haven't etched and all signs of them are removable with a lot of high pressure water, some QD spray and a light buffing with a microfiber.

I just wanted to warn all of you that the enemy is out there, somewhere above us and he wants to destroy your perfect finishes.

So look to the skies and beware, you could be next

I heard sitting outside and eating some eggs teaches them a lesson! :)

Especially if the eggs come from their nest ;)

I feel your pain Dom. Where I live it is almost impossible to park without having a tree over the car. So tree sap and bird droppings are a daily headache for me too. All you can do is keep the car protected at all time and remove those bird bombs as soon as you notice them.

"Hello mom?"
"Well son, the squirrels are back... this time it's personal".

HAHAHAHAHA just reminded of this commercial

I love that commercial!

OP: I feel your pain. A few weeks ago I was correcting my car in my garage with the door open. I stepped inside the house to refill my water bottle and came out to find a bird had bombed my freshly deconned and half-corrected car in 2~3 places IN MY GARAGE. It was a good thing the culprit had found it's way back out, or there would have been one less bird in this world.

WOW... in the garage is pretty ballzy!

Time to call congress and declare ware against them!!! I use to have the problems with the seagulls, looked like Pearl Harbor.

I feel your pain brother. This was two days ago when I got to work. I've never been hit by one so large before. Pterodactyl???

STAY VIGILANT PEOPLE!! The enemy is upon us!! The Big Bird you have is a B-52! Let's not forget the Stuka Dive Bombers that leave little yellow droppings! Those bees can rally cause a mess too! Luckily, their poop does not etch in paint. It's just difficult to remove when dry as they are so small!....LOL

Alas, we must rise and unite to take care of our rides and to eliminate the poop bombing monsters!!...LOL!

Don M I laughed so hard when I read your post!.....We have ALL been there!....Well maybe not as bad as you!.....LOL

Time to breakout the Official Red Ryder, Carbine Action, Two-Hundred Shot Range Model Air Rifle.

Whenever I find a bomb on my truck, I stop and think how lucky I am compared to some of my customers at my marina.

Birds sit on top of sailboat masts. BIG birds like Ospreys, owls, and seagulls. When these birds take off, that is when they choose to "bomb". It's usually the boat next to the sailboat mast that gets hit the worst. I'm talking HALF of a 40' boat COVERED in bird crap. Dried into the canvas and all. (Oh, and in the owl's case, one of their famous owl pellets containing hair & bone). It's horrendous.

So, like I said, whenever I find a little quarter-sized "bomb", I'm happy it is just that. Lol
