I thought it was obvious :P
The ppl that designed the trash can cover are actually old engineers that got fired from bmw. They stole the design !!!!

Lol..man why do some BMWs have non-maintenance related problems?
 
I dont know, I think its because their technology is always cutting edge but not proven nor tested over a long period of time.
