This make anyone else cringe.......

How should someone remove snow on their vehicle??

if i need to drive in a storm, i'll brush just the windows with my hands or a wide snow brush. it doesn't matter if there is snow on the vehicle during a storm if you are concerned about legal requirements. if after a storm, i walk outside right after the storm and hit it with my electric leaf blower. earlier the better and/or before you drive it because you want it to be as powdery as possible. i do my truck and my wife's car at once, then shovel if i need to.

I also use a leaf blower. Make sure you don't blow ice off the car, just the powdery stuff.

And you think that's bad? This dude is using a hammer and screwdriver!!!

Looks like just another day after a snow storm in New England. I'm sure there were plenty of people doing that this morning.

Sad thing is, most of the people that do things like this would never bring their car to a detailer. I'm sure that some people do, but if they are using a shovel to take snow off they obviously don't care too much about it to begin with.

LOL You need hot water here, about a thousand gallons. :dunno:

Since you live in NJ, I'm surprised that you don't know that this(underlined) is incorrect. You can (and will) be stopped and fined for not removing snow and ice from all 'exposed surfaces'.

I passed numerous 'check points' where there were cars being pulled over and written for not cleaning off during the commute yesterday.

The funniest thing I ever saw was a couple of guys trying to melt the ice in their doorlock.

They were peeing on it!:wow::laughing:

It was on the main drag in Mammoth Ca. They were parked in front of a restaurant that had a little fountain in front of it. And with the wind enough mist must have gotten on the lock and frozen. And since it was after closing time and everyone was closed they couldn't get a few cups of hot water.

So they used what they had.

Glad I'm not their detailer.

Wow, I can't imagine what that does to the paint.

:eek: That Audi with all the ice on it. It said in the video he tried to use a screwdriver and hammer... and broke his window. Nice haha.

Wow where in Jersey do you live, I am in Secaucus, NYC metro and have never seen that. Would have liked to have seen it, been behind too many vehicles up here with tons of snow and ice on their cars. Just plain dangerous when a sheet of ice can fly off the top into your windshield.
