In a fashion...Yes!Sorry, this took a U-Turn, but I ask, because I got lost.
Are we talking about color matching wax?
Do I believe in it...NO!!

I will dump there hole line. Stupid move Dr. G. How am I going to sell OC to a customer at $400-$800 with no warrantee . Look like CG will be getting more of my bizz. I also like how Second skin don't require a IPA/panel wide.
-I understand that paint codes vary between paint suppliers.Bob,
To colour match cosmic we need your paint code and vehicle model. (As you may know not all paint codes correspond to one paint colour).
The base of the product is tinted to the colour of the vehicle, then the wax flakes are tinted to best compliment the colour.
As far as effecting the original clear coat, there are no permanent effects or staining. Just colour intensity.
As far as purchase, because you are in the US, Travis Kent will help you out. [email protected]
Here's an example on my Lexus View attachment 21887
Not to knock you and just being honest here but you really shouldn't be operating a detailing business without insurance. It's a huge disservice and liability for you and your customer. I would never trust my vehicle (or anything) to a company who is not licensed and bonded. Even if you're working on a old and rusty car worth only $1,000, I hope you have the cash available in the event of an accident.
-I understand that paint codes vary between paint suppliers.
-I understand some of the technology behind the wax-tinting/mixing-in-the-flakes process.
-What I don't understand is how applying a film-layer of this now determined to be: colour matching wax, atop a CC paint-film...
would not, in effect: hide/mute/occlude/blanket/etc. the BC-color from being able to appear through First: the CC; Then: This colour matching wax.
I know it sounds like I'd rather not have to depend on a color matching wax
to be the color that I, and others, will be viewing as the color of my vehicle.
But...Once this wax degrades and eventually is completely eroded away...
I suppose I'd still have the underlying BC/CC paint-system left as witness to the vehicle's original color scheme.
Uh Oh...
With that kind of reasoning...Have I talked myself into chancing this COSMIC product?!?!
BTW: Thanks for Travis' email.
I just never know what I'll do next!

Thanks for the "testing link"!Bob,
Remember this is a paint coating, not an actual wax. Its closer to a sealant than a wax. Wax flakes are added to give a deeper glow. In my experience, I have yet to see this product diminish/mute the metallic.
Being that this is a coating, it is the only coating on the market (to my knowledge) that has be tested by a 3rd party to have a true 9H coating. Here is the test results.

(apologize about the German, not much I can do there)
So to answer your question about the product wearing off, winter driven DDs have a 2 year life, stuff that is garaged is even longer! A 50ml bottle has about 3-4 applications in it, so in theory you can layer it or put another coating on every year.
Give it a try, you will appreciate the product!
Thanks for the "testing link"!
What I gleaned from it was that:
The listed third party ran this investigative method on Glasscoat COSMIC 9H:
Pencil Hardness [after (by)] ISO 15184...
by using an Elcometer as the investigative equipment.
The results of this investigation was that there was:
-No visible scratch track (kratzspur nicht sichtbar)
Daggone good results!!
