Good eye.

Paul told me the tires ROTTED off the wheels where it was parked all these years.

Before he could trailer the car to his shop he had to have new tires installed.

Would love to be able to go, but sadly I can't. I'm tied up with lots of editing for my new aerial project. I will definetly be able to come to the one in May or June. :dblthumb2:

Hey mike,I will give you a hand knocking that out.

Swing on by Jeff.

These kinds of projects don't come around very often but do what you have to do.

I wish you would start these a little later, I would love to go

!

That would mean me going home later and these are long days to start with.

Anytime I plan a Thursday garage project I pretty much plan on doing it by myself. Then if anyone joins me it's a blessing.

Cool car! Which product line will you be showcasing? Here's a vote for McKee's 37...hint, hint.

***Update***

I just finished washing the old bird....

You won't believe the before and after transformation.

Process

Iron X on vinyl top
Machine scrub vinyl top with Porter Cable and Cyclo brush
Iron X on paint
Foam gun with McKee's Xtreme Foam Shampoo
Microfiber Chenille Wash Mitt
Rinse
Foam gun a second time
Griot's clay mitt
Rinse
Dry

Sitting in the garage already to do an extra extreme makeover to.

We start tomorrow night at 5:00pm. If you're coming bring a buddy that's never been to a Thursday night class before.

:D

:awman: What a find. Correct me if I'm wrong, this Bird is single stage metallic? Pretty cool to be able to work with antique single stage at any time, maybe a bit different over there but metallic single stage is an even rarer treat down this way. Mike, have you taken any readings on how much paint you have to work with? Looks to be in fairly good condition, just really swirled up. I'm sure pictures are coming of "after" the washing process, excited to see these & even more so the finished results! :hungry: Starting to think I should move to Florida so I can participate in all the fun! Enjoy team!
