Good day all,

I bought a new black car this week (Volkswagen Sportwagen black). I'm looking into a polishing kit, clay bar etc. I would like to use 3 stages on my polisher (3 pads, light cut, polish, super shine polish or sealant for the 3rd stage). Years ago I did the fine wash, clay bar clean and a polish on my black dodge truck with "Dark Horse". it turned out amazing. I'm looking for recommendations either on a pre-built kit or a kit + media. What looks like the best deal for this, this week?

I thought I would start with this for the clay bar:
Pinnacle’s Ultra Poly Clay is the single finest detailing clay available today.

for a polisher with + 3 pads + 3 compounds, I'm a bit lost.

Some options like:
Wolfgang Porter Cable 7424xp Ultimate Polishing Kit

or this:
FLEX XC3401 VRG Orbital Polisher Kit with Free FLEX Polisher Bag, FLEX Dual Action Polisher and storage bag, FLEX bag kit
with Orange, Grey, and Red pads. But then I don't know what medias would match this pad selection well.

Thank you all for the guidance. (I did search through the forms, seems like a lot of opinions, I would like to get everything for under $400 if that helps)

Thank you

If you are just doing your own car then the PC is fine. Ive never used those pads but Im sure they will be good.

If you have the SLIGHTEST bit of an addictive personality then you may want to consider the FLEX cause that will serve you better if you ever start detailing more and more.

I will probably get a "kit" put together and do 3 or 4 of my cars, and probably one of my boats. Then my habit will probably taper off to one or two cars a year with all three, or maybe just the last two polishes. Is the biggest difference between the PC and the Flex, just the vibration and comfort, when it comes down to it?
