....So you ask yourself "...the he!! am I going to do with these damn packing peanuts?" Over the past couple of years, I've been recycling all of my AG shipping boxes, and saving the packing peanuts in trash bags because I don't want them in a landfill. I had one big lawn bag full of them and took a shot at selling them at our community yard sale today. Someone eventually bought em for a dollar. How about that?! LOL!!! Well...I guess it still ain't nothing considering the tired of high shipping cost thread that I've been reading. LOL! :bolt:

I was also told that those shipping companies would take them as well...of course they would! LOL But I HIGHLY doubt they'd give you anything for them.

I give them out at Halloween. By the time the kids get home and realize what they are, they forget which house they came from.

Every little dollar helps...

... somewhat I guess.

I keep the peanuts and boxes as well, and reuse them to pack stuff that I sell on ebay.

I think you could have potentially gotten more than a dollar for them. I pay like $10 for 3.5 cubic feet of them online.

Although, I guess you were just happy to get rid of them without using the trash.

The main thing was definitely not to let it go in the trash...which...maybe it will eventually, but atleast I tried to keep it out of the landfill. I got another bad of em...wanna buy them off of me?! LMAO!

After receiving latest order, I was looking down into box at the 1000's of packing peanuts, trying to figure out what I was going to do with them. Save them, recycle them, use them in art project ?????

Suddenly, my dollar store reading glasses slipped off face, and disappeared into the peanut filled box.

After spending a minute unsuccessfully trying to find the glasses with my hands, I ended up dumping the entire box of peanuts on floor....

Retrieved the glasses, spent another few minutes picking all the peanuts up, and dumped them ASAP. Man, I hate those things!

I probably would Alex if my stash at home didn't seem like it was never ending.

My wife uses them as filler for the large flower pots. Fill them up with packing peanuts and then put dirt over top of them. She got this idea from HGTV... Works really well and keeps the weight of the pots down when I have to move them.

I actually had to buy some peanuts, because like an idiot I threw a bag away... These things aren't cheap when buying them from the store.

It's interesting that they still use peanuts. Big retailers like Amazon now use the prefilled balloons and they work quite well.

Send 'em to me! I ship a lot and am always needing some. :xyxthumbs:

I donate mine to a local shipping store but these seem to resell them.

I find they float better in milk than Cheerios's and are more filling......:D

remember we do offer another filling option, just place in comments you'd prefer NO PEANUTS.

Popcorn.......... lol

Just kidding.........

Hey! Now just wait a darn minute..........

That is a great idea. If our shipment arrived with popcorn instead of packing peanuts, we can all have popcorn while detailing our vehicles. We won't have to stop work to have lunch, we won't be hungry....

:hungry:
